2022 Ram TRX latest info

Possibly
The asking prices were insane but a few of them are still listed on sites like autotrader/cars but the prices have been reduced to msrp range.

I have 2 friends looking so i have been keeping an eye out. I know of a one red one loaded that is supposedly coming at MSRP.

Someone posted on FB, they have a white one coming in at MSRP, not local though

I don't think anyone knows this yet. They could change things wiring wise, which would make sense for having different hardware. I wouldn't expect plug and play, but maybe something that could be hacked together to work.
Actually corporate has already told several media outlets that is completely new hardware and existing vehicles will not be upgradable.

They're probably referring to an OTA update, but I'm sure you could swap the radio module and possibly the screen to get the new features.

Maybe it is a dumb thing to wait for, but honestly Uconnect 5 is worth it. Being that it is a hardware upgrade and the older versions won't support it, that was enough for me.

And of course the colors helped.
Has this been confirmed? I think it is just conjecture and assumption at this point that Uconnect5 will be in the 2022s. This microchip shortage could put a hold on that upgrade.

Yeah but that's 3 months old. You'd think we are only a month or 6 weeks from a reveal. Surprised there aren't more leaks
Agreed. I'd really like to know if the info from the video is still supposed to be accurate. Being this close to start of production and not hearing anything new has thinking that things have to be pushed. I'd really like to wait if for nothing other than UC5.

someone posted that Sherman wanted 50k over, I think it may have been you @Boris
I’ll sell them mine for 35 over so they can still clear 15 in profit.

Anyone that thinks Uconn5.0 will be bug free is dreaming. Its a nice to have for me maybe. Not worth waiting 6 months to finally get one unless there is a second factor like color.

A 392 would be super interesting.

I don’t know if the bronco is taking that many JDR buyers. I had a preorder on one and got the call the other day they were ready to order. I was pissed at the dealer anyway so told them cancel, I bought a TRX.

Besides. The bronco to have will be the warthog.

I have an early reserve for a Bronco but told them to kick it to 2022 and I want the Warthog.
Dealer said WTF is a Warthog. My response was to make sure I got the first one then.

A buddy has the UConnect 5 on his HC Durango. It is quicker to load stuff vs the TRX. Not that its a huge deal to me.

A 392 in one of these would have been my choice had it been an option. Trying to convince the wife she needs a 392 Durango. So far shes not that interested.

Uconnect 5 is also already available on the Durango “Citadel” dealer near me has 3 sitting on the lot so idk if it’s a matter of if they can get it on I just think it’s if they wanna make an effort to

as for plug and play upgrade if it comes in the same 12 inch package it can be done but I know on the rebel forums you’re looking at 3k price tag just for radio so is it cost Effective eh up to you but granted a lot of us 5th gen ram guys don’t care for the 12 inch compared the 8.4 I have on my rebel

if you’re looking for the 6.4L in a ram get a power wagon

Price increases on the way. Over on the Jeep JL Wrangler forum folks with orders in are getting a $2k price increase. I’m hoping my window sticker shows up this week on my TRX and gets in under the wire if it becomes the norm for new orders.
Funny that you mentioned the $2K price increase on the Jeep JL....my truck just shipped at the end of last week....and RAM tried to add a $3k price increase to the dealer on a truck that was ordered Aug 24th, 2020......the dealer told RAM to Eat it..........pretty shady.....

Where did they try to increase the price? Was it a percentage increase across the board or specific options?

They just raised the overall price by tacking on $10-$20K to the total. Shottenkirk Ram made it easy though and said MSRP only and gave me a fair price on my F-350.

I love the TRX supercharger, but would have opted for 392 as well. As much fun as the supercharger is, I do need the truck now and then for family excursions and would prefer the range and reliability offered by the 392 v. the sporadic thrill of the supercharger. I'm in the minority in that I bought the TRX mainly for its handling, capabilities and creature comforts vs supercharger performance.

I'd be surprised if the 392 gets any better MPG. It won't be much if it does.

Crystal lake jeep ram has a red one for MSRP. Illinois

The 6.4 in the Power Wagon is not the same as the 6.4 in a Charger or Challenger.

I had a 2017 Power Wagon and averaged around 10 mpg around town and about 14 mpg on the highway. Mine had the six speed tranny though. I think the newer ones with the eight speed get better mpg.
