2020 TRX Build Tracker

I won't say I'm not as frustrated as everyone else, I have a deposit on an LE, and dealer didn't change it to a "sold order" so mine is currently stuck in C status (for 5 weeks now) behind all the "sold order" units, awaiting a VIN.

But, I also have to remind myself that the only thing semi-official I've heard from Ram (head of Ram Trucks on TFL Podcast) is that the first deliveries would be by Christmas. So looking objectively at that statement, even if builds were supposed to start Oct 12th, that would seem to me that they possibly anticipated some delays in getting things going.

The only downside to this Forum to me is that we all can easily hype ourselves up over what we've ordered, I admit it's easy to do... but I will also be the first to say I never got a "your truck will be here by XXXX" from anyone, including my dealer.

I special ordered a Raptor in 2011, when the Tsunami hit Japan, and it caused all kinds of supply issues for Ford (had to drop the Nav and it even caused them to change the Black paint color because a tint in the paint came from Japan). Caused my 8-12 week order to stretch into 16+ weeks.

All of that said, if first deliveries get pushed into Jan/Feb or Mar 2021, it will be disappointing. My hope is someone does still get "first delivery" by Christmas... just seems that mine won't be one of those at this point.

I still think that there is plenty of time left before the end of the year for some people to take delivery of their TRXs by Christmas. I believe that some of you will get your trucks in the next 6-8 weeks or so...of course now that I put that in writing I will either be the Ram Nostradamus or the Ram Nostradumbass.

I didnt get an order in time to get an LE (and I wanted a blue one anyway :P) so I am not in the had a vin for over a month already club. I am also going off of what my salesman told me which is to expect my truck by the end of Feb because I got my order in late, and they are prioritizing the LEs over the regular TRXs. I for sure am excited to see my truck, and the anticipation is killing me (also the constantly hearing about my truck is probably annoying my wife, but that wont be changing soon) but I also knew that I would be waiting for it to arrive. I look at it this way, I have a custom ordered (as custom as they allow anyway) truck being made just for me and I get to look forward to it for the next few months while the articles and reviews keep rolling in. I do have a road trip planned with the boys in July, and if my truck is here a buddy is flying in from Dayton, OH and another driving in from San Antonio to go with me...so I would like it to be here by then.

This is becoming more of a support group for people suffering from 4X4 separation anxiety than an enthusiast forum... ?...?...?...?...?

The whole car industry is fubar right now. Dealers can’t get inventory, Service Departments can’t get parts. Dealers are asking $20k over sticker for 2020 Rams. Messed up. Drove by the GMC dealership this evening on the way home, hardly any new cars, and just a few used. When you think about it, it really could take a while for things to normalize.

It is still crazy though. I bought my 2019 rebel brand new for 43k out the door against a 62k msrp. Prices are a little crazy on trucks. 2020 needs to go away.

Agreed, done with 2020. Just holding out for a glimmer of hope for a TRX early 2021 :)

Dealer won't attempt to change it at this point because of fear of it getting kicked out of the system.

Some good points in this post. I, too, have never been told by anyone anything about a delivery date on the LE I ordered 08/18/20. I find it amazing the vast difference in information we are all getting from either FCA "chat" or dealers. The bottom line is...the trucks will get here when they get here - nothing any of us can do to speed the plant along.

I just used the live chat and was told he doesn’t have data on my build date. He said the dealer gets more direct information from FCA than their customer care agents. A few weeks ago my dealer confirmed a build date of 12/7. I will follow up again in a week or so.

well....misery does love company so I guess complaining about it on the forum(s) just allows everyone to get their frustrations out collectively. Works for me lol!
Yeah, this. Otherwise I have to talk about this with my dog since my wife is probably tired of hearing about it.

FCAU Q3 2020 Earnings Call - October 28th
Michael Manley (CEO) said this about the TRX, "We also revealed the all-new Ram TRX, which began production earlier this month, equipped with a 702-horsepower supercharged Hellcat engine, the quickest, fastest and most powerful pickup truck in the world. And the groundswell of demand for the launch addition validated the end product as orders were 100% filled in only three hours." Nothing else stated about TRX.

That is cool, but the CEO of a major company does not want to tell investors "Uh, yeah...so ya know we sold all those trucks?...uh, well...we cant make them right now, so we hired a bunch of people named Sarah to confuse all the impatient people on this enthusiast forum and buy us time while we wait for corona virus to go away." :P

Just kidding, welcome to the forum!

True, no one likes to admit poor news particularly if you are a large, publicly traded company. And I think the use of the word "production" deserves a certain level of scrutiny as well. There is no one, single definition of "production" so who the hell knows what he actually means by the statement. I was hoping for more detail in the call or at least a follow up question by an analyst about the TRX that would result in some clarification, but, no such luck! Understandably, it is just one vehicle from one brand of a multi-brand company.

So didn't people say they had delivery dates for this week? I poked around on the Facebook page a couple mins ago also. Crazy that people are getting moved to D1 and getting all this information (i.e., delivery date, build date) from SOMEONE, but not providing a source. Makes me start to question if people are making stuff up.

Build & Delivery dates reported here (and listed in the Registry) by posters were given to them by their dealerships but production has been delayed, they weren't lying about it.

I’m in D1.
I get that, but the "tracker" is only good if people are updating it accordingly. Besides, if people lie about it, I don't really care. Just provide information from a reliable source that others could potentially utilize.

It is being updated based on customer builds & the best information available that is being provided by dealerships & really helpful. Why would someone lie about their build & delivery dates? What would be a more “reliable source” than the posters dealership or maybe FCA chat (havent seen anyone get build & delivery dates from this) that’s the only sources for information.

The production delay is out of the control of the posters here, the information on build & delivery dates has nothing to do with posters here lying imo. Havent seen anything other than everyone here acting in good faith sharing information.

btw: Welcome.

I am also D1 info came from my dealer , I have contacted FCA chat multiple times but ( Sarah) won’t give up the ghost, will not give any info just to contact my dealer for info. I call my dealer every week and FCA chat . There are no other resources that I know of that would be legitimate.
