Looks awesome!

It's hard to believe it, but 1 year ago today I put the order in for my TRX. 7,200 miles later this stupid thing makes me giggle. I feel bad for those who have 6 months or more of wait time from order to delivery. I thought 4 months was bad!

Yep. Picked it up on 7-22.
But if it makes you feel better, I have far fewer miles on mine than you do.

Which leads me to this question; how much do you miss your Challenger?

I miss the Challenger about three to four times each year. I miss getting it out in the spring, and every once and a while I miss smashing the gas peddle on an open road and really letting the car do its thing. But honestly, at 6’8” I don’t miss crawling in and out of it, or having it insured for 4-6 months when I can’t drive it because of weather. It was a great car, and it was fun, but after two years I really didn’t enjoy it.

The TRX is much better for what I need and want. I’m not really a car person, but I like driving something that is fun and has emotion attached to it. The TRX is a fun daily driver, it tows the family pontoon boat twice a year, it takes me to the woods during hunting season, and it’s comfortable on long road trips. Plus for a truck, it’s fast.

So yes, there are a few times a year I would kind of like having the car, but I don’t regret selling it.

So when life gives you lemons (or in my case a busted light bar), you make lemonade. After having my Oracle Light Bar installed on March 24th, I noticed moisture starting to build up. According to Oracle this is normal, and there is a vent to open to let the moisture out. While that was true, the moisture killed a couple of the lights in the light bar. Now in theory Oracle may have warrantied the light bar, but with the clear bar on back order, I decided I was done screwing with it. My favorite accessory shop found a Vision-X Light bar that fit in the mold of the Oracle housing.

New Vision-X Light Bar (ignore the dirty front of the truck, it’s been a wet Spring).

The weather sucked but I had to get out of the house for a while. Ended up going through the Clearwater Game Range.

Dang. I'm about 8,000 miles behind you, even though I got mine first.
I’ve got a road trip to Seattle coming up (about 1,000 miles round trip), and at least 5 more weekends at the lake (minimum of 200 miles each weekend). By September I’ll be over 12,000 miles.

Let me know if you want me to put some miles on your truck for you. 😄

I'll be adding some 300 miles soon.

That's because there's no easy way to put a pallet with a 150-lb. hydraulic cylinder in the back of a Challenger.

But if we get a decent winter the TRX will see more miles. That's what it was bought for.

Tomorrow (August 3rd) will mark one year since the TRX was delivered to me. It’s amazing how time fly’s. In a year I learned there’s a lot to love about the truck, and a few things I don’t love. Fuel economy is what it is, so its really not something to complain about.

Dislikes:
-The driver seat has more bolstering than the seat in my Raptor, so for my 6’8” frame its not as comfortable, but still pretty good.
-I wish I would have ordered my truck with the Heads Up Display.
-I’m pretty used to everything being controlled through the 12” screen, but I’d prefer hard buttons for the heated/ventilated seats and heated steering wheel.
-I’m not in love with the alcantara leather on the steering wheel. Feels good, but I wonder how long it will look good?

Likes:
-702hp (enough said)
-Extremely confident in crappy weather. The truck is just planted on ice and snow
-Lots of interior space
-Quality of interior touches
-It‘s an aggressive looking truck without being overstated
-Cold Starts
-Supercharger whine

By far my favorite vehicle so far. It’s amazingly comfortable on long trips, it feels safe, and the view out the drivers window is commanding. If it remains reliable, it should be with me for a long time.

First year mileage (fun fact, the trip meter resets itself at 10,000 miles)

A few pic’s combined from the first year.
