RAM-TRX.com Legend We Lost Bambi Yesterday

Hi All,

I still can't believe it has been a year since we all lost Josh. I can tell you that it put smiles on the family to see that no one has forgotten Josh here. We were all touched to see this thread come back alive on Monday.

I miss Josh every day. No one can replace the constant banter we had and I still catch myself trying to send him posts from BAT. It hit me hard last week when I couldn't tell him that I had placed an order for a Raptor R, a constant conversation we had when he was purchasing his TRX. I can only imagine what he would have said--absurd dealer markups, limited allocations, 2 HP less than the TRX, "you'll never receive it." But even if I drive a Raptor, I still rock the RAM-TRX Forum Tumbler in my cup holder every day.

It also brings smiles to our faces whenever we see a TRX driving around with a lead foot. We have a couple that live around us that we see at least once a week. If you drive a Gray Hennessy TRX up and down PCH, message me!

Best,
Seth

Congrats on the R order. When you get it, lets meet up so I can do Josh justice and tell you how much better the TRX is ;)

I'm just a short drive from SD in Mission Viejo.

I would love that. Unfortunately, as we all know with Ford, a dealer order doesn't mean an allocation and VIN (the dealers I've talked to don't know how many allocations they're receiving for next year). We'll see what happens. Can never trust stealerships--I'll bet you there will be tons of stories of dealers taking people's orders and selling them for more elsewhere.

Fingers crossed because I really do want to see an R once its out.

Vintage Bambi posting a review for dealer that was temporarily giving me a hard time about selling me a truck that I had ordered. Ultimately worked out great but Bambi immediately jumped in with gusto:

‘I special ordered a truck from this dealership three months ago. Passed on multiple other trucks during that time because I had the order with a good sized deposit. Well, this is where things got strange. Went into dealership. They refused to sell it to me. Then one of the sales people said they could figure it out for me. Led me to the bathroom…. As I was thinking “why are we discussing this in the bathroom?” He exposed himself to me and said if I took care of his needs he would take care of mine.

Now keep in mind I had been waiting 3 months so don’t judge me too harshly. When he was “finished” he just laughed, called me a gullible rube and a slut. I walked out of the bathroom and the entire staff was there laughing. Never again!

Don’t trust them and don’t go to the bathroom with anyone named chad. #metoo”

should be a forum greatest hits sticky…

All,

You don't know me, but I am Bambi's brother-in-law. Yesterday, Bambi, the Stripper Hunter, died.

Bambi spent a lot of his time here and loved his Ram TRX, as you all no doubt know. You also know that he lived an outsized life and spared no one from a good ribbing. We lost him far too early. But he really did live his life according to the quote in his forum profile: “Only those are fit to live who are not afraid to die.”

If you have any memorable stories of Bambi, from a solid burn to a Raptor owner, which I am, or anything that tells the world just how unique Josh was, please message me. It will bring a smile.

Thanks,
Bambi's Brother
Sorry for your loss

It's been 3 years since he passed, that seems crazy.
I didn't realize he was only on the forum for 10 months. It was entertaining for sure.

Love the forum and we have a great group of TRX lovers here but the forum was just different when Bambi was lighting it up. Members that joined after his passing just don't know the impact he had but grateful I can say I got to experience his humor and energy. Can't believe its been 3 years.

He was the most real person on the planet. Bambi was Bambi for better or worse!
