RAM-TRX.com Legend We Lost Bambi Yesterday

So some of you are speaking like you know what happened to him but we haven't been told anything, have we?

All,

I continue to appreciate the kindness and anecdotes you have shared about Josh. Several people have asked me about sending donations, flowers, and attending a memorial service. Below is a link we have set up in Josh's honor. If you do decide to contribute, please include "TRX" in your name or anonymous donation, so we recognize the community he was a part of here. Many have asked questions about Josh's death, this may provide some closure.

As for the TRX and Pantera, they will both live on to honor and remember Josh. Perhaps there is even a Baja run in the future for "Gertrude."

I've also talked with some of you about an honorary trail run. I'd love to meet all of you one day, and continue Josh's legacy of saying the most irreverent things over beers and whiskey. When we get out of winter, I'd like to organize a trail run in Oregon for his last home, and trail run in San Diego for his original home. Y'all will just have to keep up with a puny Raptor.

Yes, I have thought about him daily as I would have deleted 5 or 6 of his posts on FRF by now. He was always stirring the pot, but I really liked having him there. I gave him fairly free rein and he knew that which makes me happy.

I saw this today, not sure if he posted it here, but his Pantera buy;

RIP Bambi.
Link is broke?

So he referenced a couple times being on his "final" warning and said he was worried to post a particular thing, how close did he come for a time out or ban, lol?

This speaks to @Bambi and his character. Two days of donations and he is already at 65k. Obviously some high dollar donors but I would be hard pressed to get 1k in donations if I went tomorrow. I hope this foundation brings help to those who need it.

Try to keep up...

Plenty of times, LOL! We had numerous PM conversations about it, but I always (and now gratefully) never gave him the boot or even a time out because I thought him being there was more valuable than worrying about whose feelings he may hurt. That was definitely a common bond we had.

Wow, I just got back from a week long hunting trip and logged on to the forum for my daily fix. What a gut punch! Condolences to Josh's family and friends. He was a unique character and will be missed by many. 39 is WAY too young! Rest in peace Bambi!

For a few days now I've been struggling with what to say. Josh was a constant in here since Nitro got us up and running a year and a half ago. His interactions with the fairer sex were a source of comedy. A few of the threads were instant classics though Beergoggle Blues and HODL stick out in my mind. He was witty, sarcastic and always helpful in a private setting. A big thanks to his brother-in-law for taking the time to bring us up to speed. Addiction is ugly and many of us are far too familiar with where it leads. Knowing Josh though, he'd appreciate a toast of his Basil Hayden Dark Rye to his far too early demise. Here's to you Josh and may your soul rest in peace. 🥃🥃

P.S. Now for one of my favorite quotes from Josh about our diverse forum membership..... "I bet if I asked about Chinchilla husbandry someone would be able to write a dissertation."

Absolutely! The Basil Hayden Dark Rye is now on my favorite list ever since he turned me on to it. I miss the guy like many of us do and even though I never met him, he felt like a brother..... I'm going to have a little sip now since @Jackson mentioned it. Cheers all....To Josh.....

I’m glad I’m not the only one that finds myself thinking of Josh often. It’s a rather foreign feeling to miss someone I had never actually met.

I hadn’t tried the Dark Rye yet but with all the mention of it above I felt I should, so I picked up a bottle this afternoon to try in memory of Josh.

He seemed to be always on full tilt on the weekends with lots of fun content, bringing lots of laughs and probably more gasps, lol. Definitely noticing a drop off this weekend, especially in the evenings where he would be in rare form. Such a shame and if only we knew he was on the edge I'm certain an army of us would have tried to counter this tragedy in some way.

Rest assured after looking into the detail of this entire event including the history of Josh the family tried.

Good idea, I’ll pick one up too. Also still thinking about Bambi a lot. Will for a while.
