VIN “811 & 812” April Order Group

Thanks! The customer care said D1
Chat rep I talked to, straight out told me they only get a description of the order status and not the order status code I.e. D, D1 etc.

What a variety of information! Lol.

Customer care lady seemed very knowledgeable. She told me that she had worked there 3 years. Said that there are many steps between D1 and JS/JR (don’t quote me on those two letters - should have taken notes) but that the system won’t show a change until I reach that step. She said that My trucks are in production now. Originally She said she pulled up the “sales screen” and couldn’t find a status. The she entered a different screen using the VON instead of VIN and found the D1 status on both trucks. Advised me to call back in 3-4 weeks. Hopefully this was accurate info since I haven’t seen my numbers posted on the daily VIN updates on this site

Yep, sometimes you can luck out and get a rep that is willing to dig up some real info.
For those who must contact customer service, at least try during normal business hours and on weekdays.

I'd think they'd have to be built by then, not to have to share the line with '22s.

A truck with a VIN only two digits off from mine was built today. I know it means about the same as missing Powerball by two digits…nothing. But still. Gives that hope.

I'm in guys!
810985
Ordered 4/16
D Status near 5/1
Billet Silver, Level 2, HK Stereo, Northern California
I was notified today that my build sheet was posted today, thx tripleB..
I believe that means my truck is built and now we’re waiting for the window sticker which means it’s ready to ship..I think 😂

Congratulations!
I ordered the same day but I ordered carbon fiber, and trailer crap, which might be delaying mine.

Month later still in D status. Feel like a model T could have been built faster.... wish I was patient.

My dealer told me today he expects my truck to be built around the last week of June. That would put at 11-12 weeks from order.
Exact email from my salesman:

I have it on good authority that we can expect yours to be built between 6/21 and 7/1 and then shipped there after….
ALSO THIS IS AN ESITMATE… but its new information.. no delays expected either…

Today is my one month anniversary as well.

Ouch. That seems so far away. I was really really hoping to have mine by July 4th for my vacation. I could work through the break in in a few days rather than a few weeks.

lol, 1 month anniversary for me as well.

I ordered my truck on April 13th, and we thought it would be 8-12 weeks. I think I was hoping 12 weeks at the latest for delivery, but the salesman was thinking 12 weeks at most to be built. July 6th is 12 weeks from order date for me, and optimistically I was hoping to go down on the weekend (the dealership is 700 miles away) of July 9th/10th to pick up the truck.

I'd think about a different truck if one was closer that I liked, but I have a Level 2 on order for under invoice. Finding a similar deal hasn't even been a reality (trust me, I look a lot). I'll just sit back and wait like everybody else.

Meanwhile, I seem to recall someone saying "That's not going to happen".

Oh, wait, that was me. No wonder I bought a car to drive for the 3-4 months I figured it would take.

Same here. I’ve been looking. But in the end, I built mine exactly how I wanted it; level 2 without any bullshit. Most of the nearby trucks on lots are either not as well equipped as my build, or they go to the other extreme. And have 6-8 grand extra worth of stuff I don’t really care for…beadlocks, roof, graphics, rambar, etc.

Also doubt my dealer would be too pleased (or quick) to give my $2500 deposit back. Rather just work this deal out and maintain a good relationship for the inevitable warranty work.

I’m not worried about the warranty work. I ordered from an out of state dealer because the local sales department is terrible. The service department on the other hand has been fantastic to work with. The service guys get it, and have always gone out of their way to help me. My two former FCA vehicles came from other dealerships, and my service department never even questioned it.

I paid a bit more for my last two trucks and my wife’s car to get them from the local dealer vs out of state. Never have any questions getting a loaner, even just for an oil change if I want one. They know I have more money to spend there in the future as long as they don’t dick me around. Having the pull is worth it to me.

Guess it depends on how much "a bit more" is.

On the four bought from our out of state dealer this year, it has been savings of around $9K per vehicle.
If also counting ADMs the "local" dealers wanted on the TRXs, that's another $10K per vehicle.

I can buy a lot of oil, filters, and even a few "loaner vehicles" for that money. But yes, it's a 900-mile round trip to pick them up, instead of only 300.
Having to pull a trailer is worth it to me. Which I would have to do no matter what dealer I use.
