VIN “811 & 812” April Order Group

Ordered 4/20, Granite Crystal LVL 2, 811697. Still in D status just before this past, long weekend. After much though, I submitted a change to my order to add the carbon fiber package. I doubt it will affect my build time as I ordered everything else that is seemingly back ordered.

Ordered 4/27/21, 812801 level 2, still in D.

For my understanding on this....the only way (or best way) I can get an updated status is to call the dealer and have them check?

That's interesting...I tried to change my order the day after ordering and sales manager said he couldn't do it because the VIN had been assigned to it. All I wanted to do was remove the TRX stickers from the box sides. He said they'd remove them after it arrives and drop the price $500 or whatever it was that they cost...

Once you’re in D status, the dealer needs to get the regional FCA rep involved to make changes. It’s doable but some don’t want to make the effort.

You can chat for updates below:

I do it once a week.

Well, it’s not a done deal and I was told no already so I called FCA and they were nice enough to let me know it does lie with the dealer to make the change. It requires coordination between the dealership and the regional representative for RAM. It may still end up being a no but there is a way for them to do it. I believe @KnightMare posted a video on YouTube referencing it and there are a couple other posts on the forum referencing the process. I think it comes down to the relationship that the dealership maintains with the regional rep and if the dealership wants to strain/stress/leverage that relationship. Most people like to keep their heads down so we will see what happens.

I ordered the same truck as you but on 4/9. Requested to add CF package 3 weeks ago, got the call from the dealer this morning that it was added to my build. I think it has a lot to do with your dealer. My dealer sent an email every week about it to Ram and it finally took. Stay on them about it if they seem like they're shrugging you off.
I'm still in D status. Once your truck goes D1 then you can't change anything.

Yep, the dealer can easily get the option either added or removed. They just have to reach out to their rep. I was able to get red interior accents added to my built like 3 days before my truck went D1. I hit D1 a couple days later and then my truck was built within 2 weeks and my build sheet showed the red stitching was successfully added

I chatted with RamChat yesterday to get an update(still in D status), and I asked if there was any particular option/feature I selected that is holding up my build. They responded with, "I am not showing any delays on my end. What I am going to do is send your case up and have this looked into". And then this morning I got an email from someone at Stellantis Customer Care saying, "I will be monitoring your vehicle order throughout the build process. I have opened this special tracking file to both help ensure your order is given prioritization through to delivery, as well as to provide you with available status updates along the way". So I guess we'll see if 811's get on the board soon! I know there are many that have been waiting much longer, but a boy can dream :ROFLMAO:

Is that their way of saying you have used up all of your allotted RAM Chat visits? lol
