VIN “811 & 812” April Order Group

Have you guys checked out the activity on the '22 threads?

While I feel sorry for them, with the ever moving production start date, parts shortages and such, it's kinda funny how many of them have worked themselves into a complete frenzy.

It's gonna be a very stressful few months for those guys unless they somehow calm down a bit.
Or two, maybe three bits.
I’ve noticed that as well…. lol

Yep, I've dropped a comment here and there so those clowns can see my order history in my signature. A few of them have actually PM'd me, thanking me for including that information so they had a better understanding of the timeline and didn't look like an idiot by posting an eta question, hahahaha! It amazes me how little searching the newbies do on this site before asking a lot of the highly repetitive questions 🤔

Most of the questions they have simply can’t be answered. Not by forum members, not by their dealer and definitely not by Ram. Nobody likes the uncertainty. I didn’t. I try to give them my thoughts. But some of these guys only ordered like a week or two ago, and with zero deposit. Way too early to get impatient or frustrated.

Yeah, I admire tripleB's patience with those seemingly endless repeat question

Way too early but yet some of them are freaking out…. lol

You'd think they could at least wait with getting hysterical until after production starts.
Whenever that turns out to be.

But I don't envy even the calm ones (if there are any) since this will take a while longer than usual no matter what.

You should see the 5th Gen forum - it's just as bad, or worse. And it's compounded by the fact that Stellantis put out a press release that is either (1) completely wrong, or (2) just changed the options on everyone's trucks. Hell, I think it actually changed the base models...

I truly enjoy going into the thread and reviewing it for these reasons. Its absolutely hilarious to see some of them complain about waiting a few weeks or months.

Another good read is on Facebook. You can read people talk about how the truck only has 500 HP until the break-in period is over. Or how many layers of ceramic coating they have.

I will admit, I have trolled a little bit, saying I just ordered, and expecting to get my truck any week now.

Thanks, but I think I'll pass. Would like to keep whatever little faith in humanity I have left.

And I should add that this 811&812 group has been fun to be in. The other threads can be funny, too, but not for the same reason.

Reminds me of the first orders

don’t forget the follow up “Got my truck” post in 2 weeks!!! 😂

This reminded me of a thread on a Hellcat forum. That one also ended up with a group of great guys making jokes about our missing and damaged cars.

In many cases it was so bad it was good, but what made it all tolerable (if not outright enjoyable) was the people that kept injecting humor into what was really quite often a miserable situation.

These new guys need to have the wait rationalized in terms of Jeff. If you haven’t been jeffed at least 2-3 times, you aren’t even close to getting your truck. 😂
*** shameless plug…… I have my TRX now. It’s in one piece and most everything seemed attached and tight. It goes to PPF/tint tomorrow for the next 10 days or so.

I had the truck for one day. And my wife said we need power steps ASAP!

My friend and I both had black rebels, and when I parked next to him yesterday in the TRX, he said he never thought his truck would look so wimpy.
I tried to convince him to get one. He said he’s going the opposite way from me and it ordering a diesel Rebel for the better mileage.

I would love to see more light duty diesel offerings in the 1500/150 platforms and smaller just like overseas, specifically like Austraila. I’d buy one in a heartbeat just for running errands. Don’t get me wrong, I love my 2500 non-def 6.7l Cummins but sometimes you don’t need to tow the store home with you. 😂

My truck got to the dealer yesterday, but it wasn't until 4:30 pm so I decided to go in this morning and do the PDI with them and do the test drive. This will be the first time I ever wrote a check for $ 70,000. My 2019 Laramie was only $46,000. Also the longest I ever waited for an ordered vehicle. Ordered April 21.

Congrats! Mine finally made it to Fife, WA this morning at 4am. Still one more stop to go (15 miles away) to Kent WA rail yard before it gets unloaded and delivered to my dealer. Thinking I will be doing the drunk white girl dance about this time next week. 💃🏼
