VIN “811 & 812” April Order Group

You best hurry up and go get it Mike! Or Imma drive to SD and snatch that chit up!!!

Haahaa jus' kiddin' brotha'! Congrats! That's what mines gonna look like too!!

She looks SO intimidating!
Come on up Brian and we'll take it out! Biggest problem now is to figure out how to keep myself from smashing the pedal to the floor for 1000 miles, or whatever the breakin period is.

It’s only 500. And of that, really only the first 300 are hard. At 301 you can use the full RPM range. Which I took to mean flooring it.

Congrats, looks great in granite with the beadlocks!

Also congrats to the 811/812 “club”, this thread has exceeded all expectations. Well over 1000 posts and still kickin. I thought it would be long dead and we’d all have our trucks by now. 😏
Oh this thread won’t die. I’ll be using it for my build pics rather than my own post.

Power steps ✅
Bed cover ✅
Mirror caps ✅
Catch can ✅

Next up is first oil change with the votex drain plug and window tint

Nice. If my truck was white I could just steal your photos rather than take my own. We‘ve done all the same stuff. Right down to the drain plug.

I’m happy with what I got for mine and happy to be out of it. Values are still pretty high. Could have gotten a bit more had the TRX arrived in June. But what can you do.

811/812 Group members…. So what do you think? I’m willing to make each one of you your own personalized (numbered) short sleeve tshirt. $20 shipped anywhere in the US. Colors available are black, white, grey (pictured), red or blue. Print can be black, white or silver. Small Hellcat/TRX in front, big on the back and your number on the sleeve. View attachment 19417

Yup, I will keep making shirts for this group. Simply PM me your order and I will get it going.

Thanks, Bill

PS.... you better hope its not on the train with Jeff. Apparently he lost the train that has my TRX on it.:cool:

I will put in an order once I actually get mine in one piece. It’s in the rail yard in Phoenix and doesn’t seem to be a priority for my dealership to move it.

Mine was unloaded in Barnes yard in Portland OR. on Sunday but it is a priority with my dealer. My daughter does the ordering and let her contact at the yard know to try and get it on a truck to the coast ahead of her stock orders. I'm hoping this week but probably be next week.

Well my estimated delivery date has changed 3 times thanks to “issues with the rail equipment” which to me sounds like the train broke down. 1 week in Nampa Idaho, 1 week in Englewood Oregon and now for some reason it back tracked 55 miles to Cascade Lochs Oregon where it has sat for 4 days and counting. 2 trains carrying vehicles heading to my dealer that left Sterling Heights 1 and 2 weeks after mine have gone by and the vehicles have arrived.

3 weeks of delays since getting on the train and no idea how much longer it will sit. There is one bright spot to all of this though. I got another email from Jeff today telling me my 2022 RAM is progressing through the shipping process to my dealer with an estimated arrival date between 8/31-9/9. I guess the truck sat on a train for so long they decided to upgrade it to a ‘22! 😂

Hey Bill - what are you using to track the train locations? I'm nowhere near that close yet in status, but would like to keep my own tabs when the time comes. Thanks!

When I talked to my kid this morning about my truck she said they have a dealer stock TRX built and waiting for a train at Sterling. White, level1, sunroof, tow group. So maybe they are building stock orders that there are parts for before sold orders that are waiting for parts. It was ordered the day after mine in April.

Yeah, steps were job #1 for me too. Sucks about the coolant. Hopefully just under filled from the factory.
update on my coolant situation!

Here is the summary: I think it just had some air pockets, because it's perfectly fine now.

The long story :
After signing paper work, I left the dealer. I looked the truck over really well. I checked S/C coolant lines and levels. They were fine. Drove 200 miles to get home, and it was low, about 2 inches below the min line. I added some water to it, bringing it back up to the max line. (it took maybe 2/3rds cup) I drove another 50 miles, and it dropped back down close to the min line. I was certain I had a leak. I looked around for leaks, couldn't find anything. I drove another 50 miles and kept a super close eye on the level and noticed it didn't move again. So I filled it back up (1/4 cup) to the max line. It hasn't moved since. Now I am sitting at 383 miles, everything seems fine.

Gotcha' thanks!! Was hoping for stuff I can do on my own before having to bug someone else.

Fortunately I don’t have to bug him as he does it on his own.

Tomorrow will be my day. I feel like Jeff is reaching out to me telepathically with updates as he carries my truck on his shoulders from the Phoenix railyard to my dealership. It's either that, or the text from the dealership saying they should have my truck tomorrow, and the Jack Daniels 🥃😉🤞
