Thinking if I’m not making progress by the end of the month I’ll pay a visit and see how bad my dealer:

1) needs a sale
2) needs my trade

If I have enough leverage to get MSRP, I’d consider taking one of their in-stock trucks, even though they aren’t exactly how I would build them.

Either way, the longer they give me to change my mind…well, that can be dangerous because I do it a lot.

They just told me I can't change the order at this time but I can place an order on a new one. doh.

I did find another TRX that is about 100 miles away. I could always buy that one to hold me over until mine shows up. The only risk is if I buy this new one, when mine comes in, I could take a loss on it.

No easy answers but I would say if you buy one to just hold you over, it would be tempting to abandon that 2021 order for a 2022. Since the sense of urgency would be gone and some dealers are dealing better on 2022s anyway.

I’ve just been making a nuisance of myself today. Chatted again, and was told I was awaiting parts since 4/27. Which is a complete lie since they spent last week telling me all parts were received and that I was in my (then current) status (presumably D1) for only 10 days.

I get why people just suck up and pay the ADMs. This is total shit-show.

You gotta give them credit for not giving you the same lie every time, but varying them a little.

Interesting…. I stopped checking chat as soon as my dealer confirmed that my order moved to D1 last week. Too frustrating dealing with the canned messages and trying to figure out what it means…. lol

I think we both were indeed in D1. Probably for around the same period of time. Unfortunately got bumped back down. Maybe for the trailer reverse like you said. Either way I won't believe anything anymore until it's in my driveway!

If the truck ships on 7/9 it should be at the dealer no later than 7/30. I guess I thought Triple B’s report came out sooner than that.

Yes, it would. But you have a lot of faith in that 7-9 ship date.

Don't forget that there are a few steps in between still, like that the vehicle has to be built, maybe go to a body vendor, pass inspection, etc.
And then the shipping has to happen as planned, without any hiccups.

Either way, it's fun to yank your chain.
