VIN “811 & 812” April Order Group

Yes, it would. But you have a lot of faith in that 7-9 ship date.

Don't forget that there are a few steps in between still, like that the vehicle has to be built, maybe go to a body vendor, pass inspection, etc.
And then the shipping has to happen as planned, without any hiccups.

Either way, it's fun to yank your chain.
It's fun to watch us all scramble about dates. And it is also fun to watch you get your jollies when yanking chains.

In case you didn't know, 04Ram2500Hemi and I have a little "race" going.

Same starting line, same finish line (dealer), and the orders were only placed a few days apart.
Not sure yet if him sucking up to chat and communications with the dealer is the winning strategy, or if my "Hope it shows up before winter" works better. Time will tell.

Now I need to know what y’all ordered.

I’ll be damned if Stellantis didn’t email me today. I know it doesn’t mean much, but at least it gives me the illusion of progress. “Prioritized for production”…mainly looking forward to their estimated delivery window so they can break my heart.

I got that same email last Thursday and they have been silent since. The name on the email was Jeff. The chat is the same as the email responses, canned and vague.

I got that email 19 days ago....from Jeff at Ram Information Center. He was very hopeful to have additional news and updates soon. I think maybe Jeff forgot about me...

All very encouraging. 😑

Ordered 4-17 and went D about 4-29.

My order:

-Billet Silver

-Mopar TRX Exterior Graphics (rear of truck only)
-Harman Kardon Premium Sound
-Black Power Fold Tow Mirrors
-Bed Utility Group
-Advanced Safety Group
-Trailer Tow Group

As I recall, the options were color, Level 1, bed group, towing group (which I begged the dealer to remove, as it's easy enough to install a brake control after the fact, but it's probably holding mine up), tonneau cover, and tow mirrors.

Is the trailer reverse in the tow group?

thanks for the info. I’d be surprised that you are ahead of him because of all those fancy options. 🎊

Gawd, I hope not.

I like simplicity. Got Level 1 only because heated 'wheel and seats can be nice when it's -20, and tow mirrors only because I prefer flat glass on the passenger side, too.
Much easier to spot cops with that.

No, Trailer Reverse Steering is it's own separate option.

The Tow Group adds "Trailer Brake Controller"(if you don't get Level 2, because Level 2 automatically comes the the brake controller), "Trailer Light Check" and "Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System", which also includes something like 6+ extra TPMS sensors that you can add to the wheels of multiple trailers. I really wanted this option, but it was temporarily removed the week I ordered my truck, due to parts shortage supposedly. But I did get Level 2, so I'll still get the brake controller...just not all the cool techy monitoring stuff. I was told this can't be added later, because it's a different control board installed in the factory, but who knows. I also added the trailer steering option because why not.

Is your truck still in D Status as of today ? Did you ever try contacting them back ?

Yes, still in D today. I haven't ever tried replying to the email, but I'll do that now and see if I get a response. I check with Ramchat and my dealership weekly, but on different days.

I added the Tow Group because I wanted the integrated trailer brake controller. I didn’t realize until later the Level 2 already had that, so I basically ordered an option I didn’t need for shit I probably won’t use. Oh well, it wasn’t an expensive option.

The system shouldn't allow ordering an option that's already included.
Is the Tow Group really listed on your POC?

Some of you might recall that I wanted the tow group. Sure, I got a brake controller with my level 2, and I don't give a crap about the TPMS monitoring or the trailer light check. That said, I was led to believe that the blind spot monitoring was augmented with the tow group to judge the length of the trailer and give you BSM for your trailer too. That is the sole purpose of where I saw value coming out of a relatively cheap optionk

As far as I know from their website, "Blind Spot Monitoring & Cross Path Detection" is part of Level 2, or you can add it all by itself as an option. And since the Tow Package makes no mention of that feature, I would think it has nothing to do with that. But I'm only guessing.
