I went into D1 status 3 weeks ago dealer told me estimated ship date 10/4

Does estimated ship date mean that it will be shipped that date or close to it

This is a function of what the normal population refers to as "shipped" versus Stellantis terminology.

The date shown on dealerconnect (internal site for Stellantis) when looking at "View orders" has the header "estimated ship date."
That is the date that they estimate they will be done with production and sign off on releasing the vehicle to shipping.
That does not mean that it gets on a ship, nor in this case a train, on that day. It just means that's the day they expect nothing to impede shipping (no more inspections, work to be done) other than waiting for movement itself. SO..... I would personally call that a BUILD date, becuase that's when it's done being BUILT.

Why do they use that term ship date? Why is a 2x4 not 2" by 4", but in any case - the day it SHIPs (release from plant) is the day they get to start billing the dealership for the vehicle. That has something to do with it. But more so, about responsibility and once it goes KZ (shipped) its an entirely different set of people and departments in charge of making progress, no longer the plant.

The info that you're getting with our data pulls showing when a build sheet or window sticker are generated, I'm not entirely sure how those layer in.
Below is what it looks like, you can see the ones in D1 have an estimated ship date.

8/22, order sheet had sold order priority with all the easy scheduling/sold vehicle scheduling
8/29, order in tracker with a VIN #

How did everyone get their status's? I've asked my salesman three times now and he hasn't updated me at all.
He said that my order has been accepted but when I called other dealerships to see if I could possibly put a deposit down (if it's faster) they're all saying the order list is on hold until they catch up with production.
I can't tell if he's just lying to me or just procrastinates.
Does anyone have experience with dave smith motors in ID?

He’s probably right talked to my dealer and my estimated ship date 10/4 got pushed back to 10/11 because of production he said

My customers is on order it just went from d1 status to d so something is up with the color fjored blue

I did order through dealer. They have been giving updates as needed. They updated me with new status and ship date.

Was hoping once it hit a certain status it would populate but clearly doesn't.

Curious to know why some show up and others don't even act like an order is there with the error message.

Been SAME status since. My dealer is a bit shocked, as his 2 other orders are in the same boat.
