Nice good to know it worked, I'm still trying to have my MA dealer take care of it for me prior to delivery but this is the first they have run into the issue.

Maybe I have a light truck my reg says 5999 lbs is this a typo

They go by the weight on the title

Same with mine it's best to have them do it! All you have to do is get them a invoice as I posted above from any shop and have them submit it as they do the DMV paperwork! Apparently these dealership charge you to do title and registration but have a company they use they don't actually do it themselves so they have to submit the info to the company there using and tell them what to do as this is new! If the dealer doesn't tell them they'll just put it thru as commercial and let you deal with it yourself later

DMV does not check anything, I had passenger plates on my 2500 power wagon , just waiting on my title to transfer my passenger plates and turn in the commercial plates , just tell them you installed a permanent camper top and you sign a form and that’s it

Ya that's when your transferring back and forth but if you want it done from the dealership right at the beginning having the dealer submit the invoice with the paperwork is the easiest way so we don't have to deal with it later
They don't inspect the truck your 100% right about that

I typically can't stand blue cars but the blue TRX is extremely cool! I have seen that color in real life on a regular new Ram and it pops in the sun...

I will just hold onto it at that price. Best of luck getting it through the dealer, the replacement bed rail covers that aren’t drilled through are proving to be a pain to get. One side is ordered and the other on back order.

All you need to do is give ya dealer the invoice as my example a few post back and your as good as gold! Tell the dealership what to do Don't let them tell you cause honestly they don't know shit about this as it's is new to them and there like chickens without ahead I was the 1 that told my dealer try this after 3 months and within a few days! Boom all good

Well my truck just got delivered so I'm supposed to go to the dealership Tuesday test drive/sign everything. Then I'll know in the next few days if they can register it as a passenger vehicle, Idk if my dealership wants to take the risk of lying.

It's not lying if you have the invoice at the time you sign just let them know your stuff is waiting to be installed but you don't want to have to do the DMV twice! I mean there charging you to do the paperwork for DMV they can at least do it how you tell them to. Your the customer and the customer is always right

Truck is here, but sadly the dealer wasn't able to get it registered without commercial plates, I only paid them for a passenger registration so they are out money right now. They are going to figure it out on their side on what to do because I'm not paying them more money for something I warned them about a month ago.
