Tazer DT

To save settings its a bit quirky I'm told about how you got to reset the vehicle, they got a few Tazer Ram TRX videos on how to do the reset x 2 process.

Now I'm told for a reset you need to walk away from the vehicle with the Fob in hand to go through a sleep rest....that needs to be done twice.....that was no where in the instructions form Tazer or online.....we'll see

Last bullet point in red caught my attention and some YouTube videos stated the same, had difficulty with saving the settings, but when they did that, it saved and worked just fine.

Correct but no place does it say for a sleep cycle the FOB needs to move away from the car....

Ah weird! I have to try it! It is sitting on my desk, between the two of us we will figure it out? lol! :D

Let us know what happens. I’m considering the mod too and this has my interest.

All good to go. Evidently the seat belt chime hack doesn’t work with the Tazer. I wasn’t aware until Samantha at Z automotive told me. Now that the owner has a TRX look for some updates.

2 reset cycles did the trick. For now O have folding mirrors when the ignition is off, turn signal DRLs (looks pretty cool), and Nav input in motion. Not sure what else I’ll use but although pricey it’s worth it IMO

The seat belt chime was disabled by the hack on YouTube. Very easy.

I’ve been enjoying the 2 wheel mode for about 4,000 miles so far. Have beat it silly with no issues except abnormal rear tire wear and rubber build up on my rear mud flaps.
Does it stay in 2wd or do you have to put it back in every start?

Awesome, I just installed mine today, love the folding mirrors, turn signal back camera, and the turn signal DRLs agree! So far like this thing, going to try light show tonight, I'm a fan of lights if you can't tell by my truck pics. lol.

Honestly I never paid any attention. I have always put it in when I start the truck but never checked if it was already in 2wd. I will confirm tomorrow.

I knew you would eventually get it to work. These are absolutely worth the money and now that Joe finally got his, we will be seeing some cool features coming soon.

Keep in mind the UI is quirky due to FCA/Stellantis own programing and not the Tazer. It's amazing that Joe was able to crack the code and get so many features to work with this device.

Will this work on a 2022 trx? I have the truck ordered and will get one and have it ready.
I plan on swapping 37’s on immediately and putting the 35’s on my suburban.

Can these be detect by the dealership?
Not if you unmarry and remove from your truck before you take it in. My dealer doesn’t hassle me about mine so I leave it in.

I was all excited that it could change gear and tire size up to 41”…. As 37’s are on my immediate list.

then an email from Ian at Z said that it’s a no go….

hmmm. Well I’ll be running the 37’s with out reprogramming via the tazer.

anyone know if the dealer will reprogram with the factory computers?

Since the newer stuff has live up and down links from the mothership…. Then of fca/stellar or who ever decides to do a programming verification… yep…

now… will it just show as an error and be noted on your vin for a mechanic to verify proper calibration upon service… probably.

then they will make a call on if their is other mods etc.

I guarantee you you, 100000% that dodge has people on this forum and every other and if they have a way to notate your vin or other identifier and what aftermarket parts… or abuse (in their mind) so they can and will deny warranty work.

Product looks cool and I am chomping at the bit to get started. Lol

I’m wondering when these will ship. I ordered before the group buy :( but haven’t received anything about shipment.
Gonna suck if I get bounced because of the gb…
