Damn it...I'm having an issue with the Tazer DT. I installed it a few weeks ago and after some initial issues with my truck recognizing it, everything was working and I had really started to like it...until today.

I had a medical appointment and when I returned to my truck, I noticed that the center screen and radio were still on. Pressing the power button for the radio did nothing, so I started the truck, thinking it was just a glitch that would correct itself after another start. Nope. I made several stops on the way home and each time I shut off the truck, the center screen and radio stayed on. When I got home, I unmarried the Tazer DT, but this didn't solve the issue with the center screen and radio. The only way I could get them to power off was to disconnect the battery. I guess I could have pulled the fuse too. Anyway, this seems to have reset the center screen and radio, but I'm not sure I'm going to keep the Tazer DT in my truck if this happens again.

Has anyone else had this issue or is there something that can be done to prevent it from happening again?

Not had this issue with a TRX (as mine is still on order)...BUT...my Ram Limited did this exact same thing (twice). It doesn't have anything to do with the Tazer I don't believe...I think it's something in the software or firmware of the MMS. One time mine simply wouldn't come ON no matter what, and the other time it would go OFF no matter what. It corrected itself eventually, but it's a pain that it happens at random.
 
Is anyone else completely unimpressed with the Tazer? I went in expecting to have to do some work to get things set right but this has been a disappointment. Starting with the awful directions and carrying into the interface and display. You basically have to rub your belly, pat your head, and mash buttons with the hope of getting to the setting you are looking for. Then once there you have to hope you can decipher the message before it gets overwritten by the audio message.

The cameras that turn on with the turn signal are frustratingly incomplete. First time I used it the camera got stuck on and I had to go park to get it to turn off. Then during normal operation if you are sitting in a turn lane with your signal on, your giant screen is useless because the X close button isn't functional. I also can't switch camera views even though the buttons are there.

The auto folding mirrors render the puddle lights useless on the tow mirror as the are blocked by the door when folded. A better implementation would be to fold the mirrors when you lock the truck rather than shut it off.

I'm considering pulling it out and tossing it on the shelf. So far I don't think its worth it.

And before you just assume I'm scared of technology...I'm a software engineer, I build my own computers, I used to root my phones and install custom software, I wired my house for access points and IoT devices. I have a GitHub account. I can nerd out.
 
my tazer is married and im still having problems with autofold on the mirrors.
 
I haven't had any issues with my Tazer in my 21, been using it for 10 months. I also have a tazer in my 21 Durango, no issues there either.
 
I’ve had the Taser for a few months now. Haven’t had any issues (knock on wood). Purchased it from @BrawlerFab.

Most issues are not directly related to the Tazer. The biggest problem is with Uconnect being unstable and full of bugs. The Tazer simply unlocks features that should have already been programmed in Uconnect. Is the Tazer for everyone? No but if you want these locked features, it is the only way to get them.

I most certainly cannot nerd out, yet I am able to get the Tazer to work exactly how I want it to. If there are specific issues you need help with, let me know and I will walk you through the process of setting the Tazer up to work the way you want it to work.
 
My Tazer came yesterday and ( fingers crossed ) I'll have my 22 TRX next week.
I'm sure I may run into something else to do, but I really only bought it so the tri hood lights are on all the time, to make the daytime running lights amber, and fog lights on while high beams are on.
So hopefully I won't have any issues.

Are you able to stop the auto brake stop? I unmarried and reset it and its still there..I have 22
 
@Boosted Updating the Tazer questions: Do you have to unmarry it before you disconnect it and bring inside for an update? Or just disconnect, bring inside, update, reconnect, and then re-set all the "Live" settings back to what I had it at? Or, if I leave it connected and I do an update with a laptop, will the "Live" settings still be in place?

Just disconnect, update, reconnect and reprogram the live settings to how you want and you’re done.
 
When unmarrying tazer, you no longer need to do complete reboot and two sleep cycles?
 
Seeing several comments on turn cam getting stuck.
I'm on the latest firmware, anyone know a fix?

Seems to only happen in the first 5 minutes of driving. After shifting into park and back in drive the issue goes away.

Not happening to everyone. If you are experiencing this issue, my recommendation is to turn it off until a more permanent fix is released.

Exactly what I did! Just making sure I didn't over look a fix somewhere.
