Stellantis possibly bringing back the 5.7 Hemi and the Hellcat!

Residential solar companies are a dime a dozen, mostly jokes that go out of business once their territory is saturated with solar. Buyer beware and do research on the company you want to install solar on your roof.
Related musings, slight deviation (tonights ADHD/Mania spike...LOL!) 🦖 :)

Residential Solar companies are like the Hot Tub manufacturers of the 70's...

.....and the custom Chopper builders of the 90's!
LOL Memorable mention and surprising perspective from Jesse James (2004 interview/Car + Driver) at the height of the Chopper craze noting it will pass as with similar trends that spike with consumer fervor quickly...eventually fall to a level of realistic production. There is clearly such fervor/consumer behavior that contributes when neighbors have their Solar systems installed (comically witnessed the same crescendo when some neighbors have their original (AZ tile) roof replaced! Some prior EV owners have admitted to similar emotional/social adherence and appeasement without their own logical/realistic processing and personal stance (like the infamous childhood book "The Emperor's New Clothes"? LOL).

In 2006 I was suddenly the GM of a BMW/Ducati dealership my Principal purchased on a Tuesday evening (we had been customers/realized they couldn't make payroll and we'd always chatted 'if we owned the store - what we would do different!"). Calls ensued from other dealerships but also some of the AZ Chopper builders 'congratulating us' but clearly realizing the end was pending (and attracted to my Principals $$$). My favorite quote from one such builder in Casa Grande AZ: "Customers don't mind tattoo but they are getting sick of the tattoo attitude" (aka: creative minds that aren't the best at customer service/consistent production times/inability to scale combined with egos and greed/etc). We had two OCC bikes (one was a two-part episode) and knew all too well (pic attached of the one I transported to sponsored Events/etc).

Pic of a unicorn NIKOLA semi (Hydrogen Electric) bobtailing near our house. Presumably it must have been at the local Marriott Desert Ridge (900 room convention/resort hotel), where I've seen other Manufacturers host press and releases <- they are Arizona based.

Memories of their infamous growth, endorsements (including the Diesel Bros) then scandal(s) - including their pick-up freewheeling down a desert hill for promo footage! I'm amazed their namesake is still around and the Semi efforts weren't rebranded moving forward. Hennessey comes to mind as does Fisker..... and the ability for Americans (celebrities/athletes/etc.) and even companies survive and prosper after such downfalls/stigma. Consumer memory seems short and forgiving too?! Like asking random folks about Mike Tyson, the majority will answer Boxing and possibly 'The Hangover' scenes...not those years he was incarcerated and the reason - or the beloved legacy (frequency/recognition) of Michael Jackson despite $$ payoffs for Neverland happenings.

Seen many 'Trendy Era' EV start-ups suck up grants, ridiculous amounts of press, funding from Cities believing in employment figures and tax impact etc. only to close during this VC foreplay. Fuel vehicles like DeLorean to Carbon Motors E7 Police car using a turbo-diesel BMW powerplant (endless press about their dedicated law enforcement vehicle by those who obviously never immersed/asked the end users and City Fleet Managers!).

I laugh every time people say "we need to save the planet" well ok the only real way to do that is to get rid of all humans, period. We are the ones making the garbage, pollution and decimating all the resources the planet has to give. You don't see foxes or eagles building garbage sites or dumping toxic waste products in the oceans. Also don't worry, mother nature has a sellf cleaning option like our stoves, once she gets too dirty we'll all be removed and the planet will be restored once again. It's happened a few times already, hence the dinosaurs. Don't get me wrong I try my best to not be wastefull and keep the garbage/polution down but fact is we are a dirty, greedy ,wastefull species. On a positive note let's all just enjoy our gas guzzlers until we can't!
I was so immersed watching '28 Days Later' that leaving the theater matinee, exiting into the afternoon Sun and rush hour traffic... part of me was upset the 'Zombie' apocalypse hadn't happened.

I'll probably start looking at my next new vehicle (Truck or SUV) purchase later this year. RAM won't make my short list unless they bring back Hellcat engines. If they do, it will be on the top of my list. Others I'll consider, Raptor R or Cayenne Turbo.
I have always bought extended warranties because it gives me the option to keep a car longer than usual if nothing else is out there that is exciting.
I’ll have my TRX for another good 5-6 years still.
But I have 115k miles on a Trackhawk with the warranty up at 125k. I have no idea what I will buy next. I don’t love the Hellcat Durango. I had a Hellcat Charger and that was plain scary being RWD. Some other non-Hellcat engine SUV will be slower. There’s just nothing out there right now that excites me like supercharger whine of the Hellcat motors.

I rented a Tesla Model Y Performance in Maui last summer on vacation. That thing has no business being that fast while making literally zero noise. Shit is wild. I just didn't dig the interior quality of materials and the stupid glass roof. Those seats get COOKIN when parked in direct sunlight.
I had the same car while Trx was getting detailed and ceramic coated and it was a lot quicker than the Trx and did it without the shock and awe of the straight piped Trx. Great for around town daily use and I liked it a lot more than I wanted to. The instant torque at any time is something no gas vehicle can match and makes it fun, but in a less visceral way than we all love with loud exhaust and gear changes.

Scout is the only EV that really interests me. I’ve got a deposit on the SUV (Traveler) with the gas extender Harvester package.

Ram could simplify things by getting rid of the 5.7L Hemi and keeping the 6.4L for their truck line up as well as Dodge for their cars. Stick with the 6.4L and then one version of the 6.2L Hellcat Redeye. No sense in multiple V8’s. Just two options. Keep it simple!

I put down a deposit as well.

Supposedly a new street truck might be happening...?

You mean bringing back trucks (and cars) that US buyers actually want and are willing to buy? No way! 🤣🤣🤣
Maybe. Not sure if it's legit or not. They already kind of have one in the hennessey mammoth 400. But it's appearance only. It would be interesting to see an updated srt 10 or something.

Ugh. So much wrong here. Solar panels last 25 years and its not like they die after year 25. They degrade. Any moron that gets into a Tesla Plaid hasn't done their research. Way under braked and just a super car killer in all aspects of straight line speed, 0-60, and quarter mile. I had my Gen 1 Raptor (2011) and traded it in for my 2023 TRX. Traded my 2016 Charger Hellcat in for my Mach E GTPE. I finally have usable power (480hp/634tq/AWD), amazing brakes, and will walk any Hellcat that is 2WD 0-80+. Bro, sounds like you never have driven an EV or been in one.
