So Who Will be First to 1000whp

So in the quest for 1000whp I called Barth Tuning and been doing some research. Seems like a pump gas 1000whp is challenging on the hellcat 2wd platform let alone the additional loss generally associated with awd.

I haven’t spoken to Tim Barth but his wife said they have a customer who should be dropping off his trx soon and Tim would be checking it out. Diablo is working on the tuning software. She did say on 92 octane it would be challenging to get above 900 or so. Would need to be an e85 or potentially flex fuel.

Will be speaking to AJ Hemituner soon.

Being the factory transmission in a non 35" tire platform is only rated to that 800-900hp output, the stress on the driveline will be immense at 1000whp. The 35s add a ton of stress.

A built trans is only what? 5k? The Trackhawk has the same transmission correct? I swear I have seen built trannies for about that price

Shouldn't be anything too painful. Hell, the trans swap in my dually cost me $20k(rated to 2000hp) so $5k sounds like a deal!

You plan on running a different tire setup?

I thought you only rented built tranny’s...no?

I don’t know. Haven’t thought that far ahead

Not apples to oranges, but great point of reference why tire size really makes a huge difference. 32/33s are where it'll be at with these trucks when the goal is speed.

33" Nitto 420s or proxies few.

Def learned a few things on there... And will be working my 1ton accordingly now. hahahah!

Any tuner recommendations? I’m gonna have to do remote tune
Some of my friends with demons and hellcats go to Barth Tuning in northern Illinois. They do remote tuning. I can't vouch for them but they seem to like them.
