So Who Will be First to 1000whp

And if something like the front diff keeps turning into a metal smoothie? Just keep replacing it?
Replace means upgrade to me. Not going to put back a stock part if it can’t handle it

I’m just wondering what upgrades. I’m ignorant on who would make a stronger front diff or built trans/etc

On transmissions - my first call would be to Southern Hotrods. No affiliation, but friends from New Orleans spoke really highly of them (think they are still headquartered there), I've had a fun ride or two in vehicles with their transmissions, and the founder is a retired Naval Air mechanic (with a number of years in cars before founding SHR).
Southern Hotrods 8HP95 Build

A little more old school in the Mopar world, Paramount has done built transmissions for years, and has some experience with AWD Hemi's. They used to build transfer cases for SRT8's as well.

Any tuner recommendations? I’m gonna have to do remote tune

My first choice for remote would be OSTdyno.

Gearworks has done some awesome in house builds and were responsive when I reached out but I don’t know if they do remote tunes?

Thanks. OST looks legit.

any other recommendations on companies that make the best stuff (cai, headers/mids/exhaust, etc?). Basically any other power adder thats proven on the hellcats.

For the Trackhawk, both Kooks and American Racing had well built full exhausts from the headers back and I thought both looked and sounded good. I was a Borla fan back in the day but wasn’t a fan of their setup on the TH (although the one I heard might have been a repurposed SRT system ... I didn’t work on or drive that setup).

For intakes ... I’m curious to see if anyone can improve on n the TRX intake on the road (vs on the dyno for one cold run). For Hellcat recommendations I would have to go back and look, but I know OST had some thoughts on what would and would not work well.

Yeah unfortunately I have no tuners near me which I have found

Just follow what hennessy is doin theres is already being offered for $150,000 but its 1015hp

While I won't be the first to 1K, I am curious to see what we need to do to get there.

Beyond the questions about fuel (does anyone know if the TRX has a dual fuel pump setup like the Trackhawk vs a single like the other Hellcats)?, I'm curious to see how the transfer case holds up.

The Borg Warner 48-13 is supposed to be new (guessing it is an evolution of an earlier full time case) with strengthened internals, but everything has its limits. Does anyone know how much power or torque the case is rated to handle?

I will assume (potential ****up on my part) that the driveshafts full float D60 are good to go, and if the transmission starts to slip or overheat, there are some solutions for the 8 speed that are already floating around. And we'll just leave that front differential unlocked and hope for the best ;) .
I don’t know enough about the fuel pump specs for the TRX but I can share the part number if anyone wants to continue to research it. I can only confirm the pump is currently only applicable to the TRX. It looks like a single pump. Here is the part number: 68433348ab

Thank you for finding the part number! I can't find the specs offhand (nice diagrams floating around though :)). I am surprised they went back to a single pump, vs the dual in the TH, but I hope that one of the existing dual pump aftermarket setups from Fore or IE will be an easy plug and play solution if or when needed.

Saw an article on a gen 5 whipple supercharger that claims it will fit the TRX. Wondering if this woukd help in the endeavor

Seems like it makes basically the same power as the Magnuson 2650. Seems like the mags blower makes more power with less displacement.

i’m no sc expert so anyone want to provide some color?

Someone with a Hellcat in the garage should step in but until then - I'll share my dos centavos before calling it a night. Both companies make good products, and everyone I know has had good luck with Magnuson in terms of support (haven't heard anyone with a negative experience with Whipple - just not as common for the cars/trucks/Jeeps I have been around). For some platforms I would go with Magnuson, but for the Hellcat I really like the feedback from tuners (two) that I talked to about 2.9L Whipples.

I think the larger Whipple (older 2.9, so guessing the newer model should be an improvement) looked better in terms of the compressor efficiency zone where it spent most of its time operating versus the smaller 2650 when you were trying to push more than 900 hp. I do NOT have a copy of the compressor maps or writeup that someone did (anyone from hellcat.org remember a tuner comparing the 2.9 and the 2650?). The 2650 setup may have changed so that old comparison may be out of date.

My usual alibi - I have driven a Magnuson supercharged CTS-V (loved it, wish I had kept it) and Toyotas (almost essential when pushing a built Toyota through the mountains), and really liked them. I have not driven a Hellcat with a Whipple. Yet :).

Mags is coming out with a 3l soon....

I suspect they did it to keep the truck close to the rated HP the first year. As all manufacture do they make small incremental changes to the vehicles each year so I have high hopes for the 2022 TRX. I know Ram will want to up the power to keep things in check with the new Raptor. I would not be surprised if they came out with something like the Redeye with around 800HP.

I’d keep an eye on RipaTuned, I know lots of shops are planning on getting TRX’s for R&D and that the 6.2 is very similar to those found in the Hellcat but Ripa Tuned is already offering packages for the TRX. He is currently selling 750,800,850, and 900hp packages for the TRX. He’s tuning his LE on E85 and said to expect 10second e.t.’s on stock 35’s in the very near future. Disclaimer: I do own a HellCat Challenger but have no affiliation with RipaTuned nor have I ever purchased parts from him. I do know he builds a lot of fast Mopars and I have been following him closely now that he is already tinkering with his TRX.

This is a local shop around me. They have already had some nice gains. Planning on getting some work done on mine when I’m back up that way. Talked to Mario and told him I wanted to use it for a everyday truck, not a race truck. Learned a while ago no need to make your daily driver a race car.

I have seen those Instagram posts, he never posted what the stage 1 WHP was. I do not have E85 available to me so stage 1 on a 93 tune would be my best option. Do you know what he was able to achieve on 93?
