I completely agree and I have considered adding meth to my HellCat Challenger. However, the TRX will be my new daily driver and I’d rather not have the headache.Methanol injection is a nice substitute if you do not have access to E85.
Still not 1000whp but impressiveThis is a local shop around me. They have already had some nice gains. Planning on getting some work done on mine when I’m back up that way. Talked to Mario and told him I wanted to use it for a everyday truck, not a race truck. Learned a while ago no need to make your daily driver a race car.
True, but just kind of wanted to show that it is already coming fast. We will see if before you know it. Thought it was just some good info to post.Still not 1000whp but impressive
Not criticizing. Just sayingTrue, but just kind of wanted to show that it is already coming fast. We will see if before you know it. Thought it was just some good info to post.
According to Magnuson, their 2650 is good to 1000crank without additional fueling on the hellcat motor. 1400 with fueling.
Not possible, once the PCM is cracked/tuned the dealer will void your warranty. I’m only really familiar with the HellCat platform but I bet the TrackHawk guys could give more input. Lots and lots of people modify these cars and I know the dealer is usually looking for every excuse under the sun to not perform warranty work.If this is all bolt on bolt off, I would do it. Then you can get HP you want, if engine blows, just put stock blower and stuff back on and get warranty replacement rebuilt motor.
2 questions:
1) Does anyone know if you nuke a transmission, half shafts or other drive train part on a hellcat vechilce, not in engine bay, do they check to see if you did mods to engine to void the warranty?
2) WHP on TRX is 600-615. With stock drive train, I know this is just guesstimating, how much additional HP, will push the drive components to break? from other performance upgrades experiences, on other hellcats or other vehicles.
My experience of the owner of 2 built viper motors one 540 stroker with nitrous (300 shot) and one with supercharger, drive train parts are just upgrade by the performance shop, as they have been proven to break. (half shafts/rear gears). Anything over 150 WHP, really ups the chances of breaking things?
Wait for the new Whipple The only way to goAccording to Magnuson, their 2650 is good to 1000crank without additional fueling on the hellcat motor. 1400 with fueling.
Metco 275 pulley, injectors and catsJust follow what hennessy is doin theres is already being offered for $150,000 but its 1015hp
I don’t think the hellcat motor is like methanol I have not heard anybody running it.I completely agree and I have considered adding meth to my HellCat Challenger. However, the TRX will be my new daily driver and I’d rather not have the headache.
Welcome to the Forum. Do you have a Trx on order? CheersI don’t think the hellcat motor is like methanol I have not heard anybody running it.
Diff braces are warranty voiders aswell. Not possible, once the PCM is cracked/tuned the dealer will void your warranty. I’m only really familiar with the HellCat platform but I bet the TrackHawk guys could give more input. Lots and lots of people modify these cars and I know the dealer is usually looking for every excuse under the sun to not perform warranty work.
I would imagine the most common drivetrain components to break in the TRX will be the front diff and half shafts with a driveshaft not being far behind. One of the first mods for HellCats on sticky tires is a driveshaft and differential brace. My HelLCat makes 771whp and after replacing the driveshaft and adding a diff brace I still grendaded the rear diff and twisted/snapped my half shafts. I believe the D60 rear end in the TRx will be sufficient but I foresee that front diff and half shafts not lasting long at all, especially if traction is present.
Really? Why?Diff braces are warranty voiders aswell.
A lot of it depends on your dealer what’s covered and what’s not.Really? Why?
But a diff brace? I can see how they might look more closely at other things if you had one but why would they have warranty issues with the brace itself?A lot of it depends on your dealer what’s covered and what’s not.
A friend of mine has a demon also and he put Mickey’s DR on it and they said they weren’t going to warranty the diff. But if you had the stock NItto’s DR It would be covered!
my 16 hellcat I had a race clutch in it and exploded the transmission took it into the dealer got a warrantee and I asked the tech how we got away with it he said he forgot to take pictures!
