Shits getting stolen left and right

The Club is useless, they just cut the steering wheel. When I get my TRX it will be locked in my garage with motion sensors tied to my home security and the garage door physically locked with military grade padlocks that can’t be cut with bolt cutters. Key fobs will be in faraday bags. When I am away from home I plan on relying on the CarLock device that will alert me of any vibrations and a pedal lock on the brake and gas pedal. I also might keep my mother-in-law in the back seat..lol
Those bastards!

If I can get my mother in law in the back seat, I'll leave that thing parked in the 'hood with the keys in it.

Are we talking about old vs new cars? Hotwiring newer cars isn't really a thing anymore.
Yeah right. Are you even reading Helipilot's posts? Thieves can break into your TRX and have it hot wired in minutes. My son's Tacoma that was just stolen is a 2021. According to the dealer fixing it, it was hot wired.

I like the mother in law in the backseat idea, but I might then want the truck to get stolen

You can use Igla system to stop car from starting, it is used on board computer bus to stop it from starting, also it has additional relay that cuts off engine if truck was hijacked. In order to start it you need to use code what you enter with buttons on the steering wheel. Much more advanced than ravelco. It can be pushed away with neutral cable so need to figure out how to lock that part. If interested in igla contact me and I will be able to help. Can somebody post a link to YouTube video for neutral cable lock

Ok, I have read enough of this. IF, my TRX ever gets built (ordered July), and if I ever get to take delivery of it......I will hide both keys in separate faraday bags in separate faraday boxs, lock it in my garage with door and motion security, remove the battery, install the Club and Ravelco and order four boots, one for each wheel. I will always take my wifes car, and I will keep my 2020 Tundra for the times I need a pickup. This should keep my TRX safe. Luckily, I don't live in Seattle where none of this would work.

Just an FYI on previous posts about LoJack........... The "LoJack" we all grew up with is not in existence. The name was bought and the product is not the same. I'm not aware of any law enforcement agencies up here in New England that have on-board ability to track a stolen car with "LoJack". Cellular tracking is cellular tracking. I will personally be researching a stand alone cell-based GPS, and I will bury it where nobody will find it.

The penalty for all crimes in the U.S is too lenient.

I believe its the only way to decrease crime. Raise the stakes.
Either the fear of the penalty will deter them, or the fact they are locked up dead (death penalty) will 100% reduce crime.

Asking people to be nice, carrying signs, Facebook posts where people write "can't we just all get along/behave/etc" won't help. Neither will asking people to be better parents. "Come on, be a better parent!" posts on Facebook are seen often, but don't help. The people that are good parents, don't need the message and the ones that need the message aren't going to change their ways because someone asked.

Much stricter penalties are needed.

100% agree, if you're not punished enough for a heavy crime, there is nothing stopping someone from committing it over and over because they know committing the crime doesn't carry anything substantial .

My sister lives in Chicago and in a nice area (Lincoln Park). Anyone who is familiar with Chicago know's that Lincoln park is or maybe was, a really nice area, but in the past few years, you can't even go out at night alone without the fear of getting mugged. And their 'Wonderful" Mayor Lightfoot has the balls to say everything is running smoothly. LMAO.

Crime use to be segregated to certain areas where you knew not to go, but recently it's been leaking over in the really nice areas and people are scared, rightfully so.

In far too many cases today, our fine lamestream media and snowflake lib’s and some politicians make those repeat criminals National hero’s. Sickening!

Check these out:

Yeah I wrote that with envy, for others who possibly live in capitalist states. Here in NY if one takes your car, he might come back and demand you to fill up the tank and also give him the spare key
They will not be treated with that hospitality in Texas 🤷🏻‍♂️

A shotgun for a car thieve equals Second degree Homicide…. Better off letting them take the truck and deal with insurance…
It’s only 2nd degree if they find the body. This is TX and we’ve got plenty of land and scavengers to dispose of it properly.

I figure using The Club, plus something like Ravelco, at least slows them down or makes them look for easier pickings. After all, many of the thieving homies are essentially lazy scumbags in the base case.

Haven't looked into it, does the Ravelco device come in black, or just that nasty looking white?

It’ll be black after I Plasticoat spray coat it 😀

Anybody know if the Ravelco voids the RAM warranty?
