What about the hot wife? Are you divorcing her only because guys might hit on her ?That constant feeling of worry has me already contemplating selling it and going back to something boring. I've found myself looking at Ford rangers for fucks sake.![]()

The problem is that you are still putting your fate in the hands of a jury if the prosecutor decides to prosecute, as the statute requires the person using deadly force to "reasonably believe[] that: (A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or (B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury." You very well might get acquitted by the jury, but it will probably cost you more than the cost of the TRX in attorneys' fees to get there, and then again, you might get convicted. Ideally, you live somewhere where the prosecutor is not one to prosecute under these circumstances.Boy, I'm glad I live in Texas and not wherever you live:
Texas Penal Code - PENAL § 9.42. Deadly Force to Protect Property
You are 100% correct in everything you say. However, given case precedence in Texas, I'm much happier taking my chances with prosecutors in Texas versus Illinois, California, or New York. The problem is that you are still putting your fate in the hands of a jury if the prosecutor decides to prosecute, as the statute requires the person using deadly force to "reasonably believe[] that: (A) the land or property cannot be protected or recovered by any other means; or (B) the use of force other than deadly force to protect or recover the land or property would expose the actor or another to a substantial risk of death or serious bodily injury." Did you also notice that the statute only applies to theft that happens "during the nighttime"?
I don't understand whyA shotgun for a car thieve equals Second degree Homicide…. Better off letting them take the truck and deal with insurance…
LoJack stopped selling their device this year.O

No doubt about that. I'm not a criminal attorney (I'm a patent litigator), but I'm pretty sure those states do not ever allow the use of deadly force merely to protect property. I believe there are only a handful of states that do.You are 100% correct in everything you say. If they bring their own fuel pump relay this is worthless.Someone had posted a decive that replaces the starter or fuel pump relay with a remote activated/deactivated key fob. It's was around $90. Seemed like a good idea. I'll see if I can dig up the post
@Mud Rat takes credit for finding this

Unfortunately, a certain segment of our political landscape is doing all they can to shield criminals, reduce penalties and reduce police effectiveness. Go figure. The penalty for all crimes in the U.S is too lenient.
I believe its the only way to decrease crime. Raise the stakes.
Either the fear of the penalty will deter them, or the fact they are locked up dead (death penalty) will 100% reduce crime.
Asking people to be nice, carrying signs, Facebook posts where people write "can't we just all get along/behave/etc" won't help. Neither will asking people to be better parents. "Come on, be a better parent!" posts on Facebook are seen often, but don't help. The people that are good parents, don't need the message and the ones that need the message aren't going to change their ways because someone asked.
Much stricter penalties are needed.
I believe the TRX unit runs about 629, less 10% AAA discount. Installed at my home. The Wrangler was cheaper. Yeah, no remote start unless you leave the ”key” plugged in. (Like in a secure garage, at home ). I’m in SoCal, so Don’t need or use remote start anyway. Mine gets installed next week. Please let us know how the ravelco goes.
Did you lay out about $700?
Seems that's the best bet these days. No remote start with that system though, right? That sucks now with the cold weather, but at least helps with theft I guess
Our urban TRX friends don’t follow the rule of three S’s. Shoot, Shovel and Shut up. As such they deserve the criminality that surrounds them. Weakness breeds victims everywhere it is foundI don't understand why

Imagine Chicago right now, where police don't even show up to a vehicle theft anymore. Can't victimize the criminals. Our urban TRX friends don’t follow the rule of three S’s. I think we should build penal colonies throughout the us mexico and participating countries even china... These people gotta go. Im thinking in harsh terrain like desertsI 1000% agree. MUCH stricter penalties including minimum FEDERAL 10 years hard time for assault of any type on ANY first responder.
I have a faraday pouch I keep my fobs in in my purse or pocket when I’m out. We also have faraday boxes that we store the fobs in at home as well. I’d rather not take any chances. (Make sure you test whatever you buy, the first one I bought didn’t work at all. )LoJack stopped selling their device this year.

I'm getting a Faraday bag for when I travel. I hope Stellantis pushes out the anti theft/valet mode that cuts the power to 5hp and they are able to send it via UConnect OTA. Other than that, it'll suck if it gets stolen but life goes on.
