But I installed it just like Taylor did in his video and was not too complicated at all

The red lights match the rear of the rear lights when the DRLs are on. The aux rear whites lights are BRIGHT!

Could use some wiring help. I got my kit from @Shifts_And_Grins and got everything installed. I made my own plug n play harness per his instructions. I am choosing to wire them so that I can manually turn on and off with Aux switch and for them also to turn on when in reverse. I am currently using a diode as I have done this previously with other trucks. You can see from pictures below that the red backlight works when lights are on (1st pic). The main white works with Aux 6 (2nd pic) however in reverse, the lights stay red (third pic). I also have some rear facing rigid lights that are wired to same aux switch and are wired to come on in reverse and they work great but for some reason the Diode Dynamic lights are not coming on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all!!

Can you either post send pictures of the plug and play harness wiring? Also are the plug and play wires hooked up to the diode dynamics harness with the brown on plug and play to blue on Diode Dynamics harness and Blue on plug and play harness to the yellow on the Diode Dynamics Harness? Last question, Where is the diode you mentioned. I know several people have wired them with a diode but I have installed many with no diode.

You don't have to but it only takes a few minutes to drop it and you will have a lot more room to connect and then tie up the harness properly.

That is personal preference. I never do but many customers have to provide extra room. I’ve installed a bunch and haven’t dropped the spare on a single one. Several customers have dropped it and don’t regret doing it.

Got my hitch reverse light installed. Snipped the purple wire and daisy chained the harness with the other trailer harness (for the tow hook lights). I think I’m going to have to call it quits on reverse lights…not sure the alternator can handle any more

Are the hitch reverse lights completely flush with the hitch? I spent all weekend working on my garage to see if there was any way to get the TRX to fit. I finally got it done and I have 1/8th of an inch clearance front and back. I had to remove my hitch cover because it stuck out 1/4 of an inch. Boy is it tight but I don't like the open hitch look.

I can work on the motor while I'm in the house
