Hello all. We are a new vendor on the forum. We specialize in Ram Trucks and now the TRX. (Ours is on order and has been sitting in the shipping yard since 03/10/2022). We have developed a few new products for the TRX and many more to come. In fact; We'd love your ideas on what you'd love to see built for this platform. For now, here is one of the products we are releasing. It is on presale for a discount. We have materials inbound and will get them built out, powder coated and shipped ASAP. We are offering three different packages for this deal. First you can buy the brackets only. Second you can buy the brackets and the SSC1 Sport lights and last you can buy the SSC1 Pro Lights and brackets. What you get:

The brackets mount to the rear TRX Tow Hooks and allow you to place a light pod in the middle of the tow hook. The brackets are Laser Cut and CNC bent and then powder coated with a black textured powder coat similar to the TRX Tow Hooks Powder Coat. The bracket bolts to the rear most two bolts of the tow hook. It follows the lines of the tow hook to protect the bracket and the light. The light sits perfect between the bumper and the tow hook and provides extra light when backing up. The lights we offer provide the option to wire to your reverse lights, tail lights, brake lights and a switch. They come with a red back light for tail light or brake light activation and can be wired to reverse lights and a switch. If want the cool factor of your tow hooks lighting up red with your brake or tail lights and the added safety of extra light behind you when you are backing up, these are the way to go! Enough of the long winded post. Here are some pictures for people like me! LAst two pictures are of the prototype phase when we mounted them tour tow hook brackets for Non TRX vehicles. It shows the Red backlight and the white reverse light lit up.

Question, for those of us that use these trucks off-road. Will this light get in the way of a recovery strap?

From the looks of the last pic of it mocked up on a bench it appears there is sufficient room between the light and the tow hook to at least use a soft shackle, and likely a metal one as well.

Cool product @Shifts_And_Grins (y)

Thanks. I have a white Rex coming and I'm definitely exploring options. Can you tell me, how much space there is between the inside of the hook and where the light is?

Thank you.

There is plenty of room. When the prototype set comes back from powder coat we will get them installed again and get better pictures showing that as well as measurements

Yes. It was designed with that in mind. I’ll get better pictures when the brackets come back from powder coat.

I’ll get the exact measurements when we get them back from powder coat and do the final installation. There is room to still use the hook though. I may be able to get some measurements and photos of it on the bench. I’ll check it today.

Will the wiring harness you provide be a plug n play setup?
It plugs directly into the lights. You will have to wire in to the factory lights (reverse lights and tail or brake lights). I like to tap in to the trailer light harness. I will post instructions on the installation when the prototype brackets come back from powder coat. Do you all prefer paper/ online instructions, video, or all of the above?

My vote is for all of the above!

Gonna wire these up to work both in reverse, and manually via one of the AUX switches. Should be possible with a diode on the reverse wire to prevent back feeding the factory lights. Haven’t messed with this kind of stuff in a long time but I’ll finger it out…

That is what I thinking too. I should convince my wife to do the install. She is way nicer to look at than I am. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Great idea, lights and girl! Any way you can build a harness that runs to the engine bay to plug into one of the Aux ports? Sort of like what @OnTheReel suggested?

I am all over this if the harness can be built to run to the engine bay and tied into an AUX port. Prefer only manual turn-on.

I am with ALJ above. I would want the harness to run all the way to the front to be plugged into the aux switch. What is the cost for brackets, lights and requested harness?

I'm also interested in wiring to the aux switch.

If it has a harness that allows me to connect the wiring without cutting or splicing wires, meaning plug and play, I’ll buy them.

It comes with a really nice harness. You won't need the sitch it comes with if you use one of the aux switches. A diode would work perfect for what you are looking for.
