HOT! RB Performance Brakes is a Supporting Vendor of RAM-TRX.com!

The kit comes with the XT910 compound pads offered by RB which they report to have low dust, no squeaks, and no fade pads for street & spirited driving. I have no personal experience with them. The beauty of this kit is that it uses the same, standard FMSI pad shape as Dodge's Charger/Challenger/SRT8 so you're not dependent on RB for replacements and have more options to choose
Thank you!

Here is a review by one of Raptor Gen 2 owners who did his early upgrade in 2018 to our 6/4 pot system kit with 400/390 rotors.

Makes sense. There are several vendors on here that would be willing I think. Would there be a minimum order requirement to make a custom size?

If the Raptor setup fits a 17" and doesn't have braking issues, the TRX shouldn't have issues either.
Reviewing this thread - We have since acquired more knowledge on stock wheels vs. Ratpor etc., and the 17" kit with 355/355mm rotors is officially being made available.

I'll be your first customer if you make a brake setup that can fit 17s.
As soon as the fitment with hard parts is confirmed a GB will be announced. Just bear in mind for those who are looking for this kit. This project involves some major tooling modifications to make the kit as close to OE setup as possible although it's downsized which s/b very similar to Raptor's 17" stock upgrade kit.

Even with the downsizing, should the performance be better than stock?

It's a subjective question which I think it's better to leave it to members' comments after installing the kit. However one thing I can assure you is that although it's a downsize (from TRX stock), but the kit practically has the same rotor size as Raptor as presented in other thread:
-------------------------

This 17" kit will contain:

Front:
  • RB 4 piston calipers
  • RB 2 pc rotors (355x32mm vs. OE 378x30)
  • RB Pads (mod. version of 18" kit)
Rear:
  • OE calipers/Parking brake (Retained)
  • RB 2 pc rotors (355x24mm vs. OE 375x22)
  • 1 Pair caliper brackets (for downsize rotors)
  • OE Pads
At the end you will essentially install a brake setup that is considered as an "upgrade" version of Raptor's stock brakes of 350/348mm.
--------------------------
Please visit the 17" thread for more details.

I can add the following remarks based on the design data:
Note: The rotors although are downsized from stock but they are 2mm thicker (front and rear) than OE with wider air gaps that can dissipate the heat quicker and much more efficiently than OE rotors. So you can expect a lighter & more efficient brake system than OE yet still fits under 17" wheels.

Posted this on a different thread, but then stumbled on this discussion and wanted to contribute some real field experience…

I used a full Ft+Rear Racing Brake (RB) BBK on my 2018 Raptor (Massive Fr 400mm w/ 6pot calipers / R 390mm w/4pot calipers) under 20" Vorsteiner VR wheels). ROCK SOLID! Ran these for over 100k miles (actually, 110kmiles on original pads and rotors), with absolutely NO issues. I wish Ford built engines as bulletproof as these brakes! Provided needed stopping confidence, LONG noise-free wear, and better pedal feel (with full SS brake lines) vs. mushy OEM. Ran these brakes in a lot of different environments, including up and down local mountain roads/switchbacks, towing a 7klb boat, and a lot of highway miles. I would HIGHLY recommend… IMHO RB builds solid kit (period).

Selling the Raptor, and purchased a 2023 Lunar Edition TRX (15kmi). I am now investigating a brake upgrade compatible w/ OEM 18" beadlocks with 37x12.5 Nitto tires. RB offers what I expect to be some solid options, including a full front setup, but only rear rotors and pads (Ram EPB issue). Understand its physics, and there is only so much gain you can expect with these smaller rotor/caliper or even rotor/pad-only kits under an 18” wheel vs. a full BBK with 20”+ wheel, but definitely talking with Warren and RB again, as the performance and high build quality of their product is proven in my mind.
