Ram TRX returns Q1 2026

I don't think it can be overstated just how AWFUL Carlos Tavares was when making decisions about the US market.
I don’t disagree with this at all. That still doesn’t make it less slimy. And if this was a one off incident I could maybe chalk it up to only bad decision making. Given they did it before when it had nothing to do with a changing political landscape I’m inclined to think it was all just a big F you to their brand loyal consumers purely for the purpose of extracting a little more profit. The V8 conversation is a different topic altogether IMO given that euro brands under Merc (including Aston) and VW group (VW,Audi, Porsche, Lambo, etc) have more high horsepower V8 engine variants than the US does right now. I would be happy to put an EA825 in a TRX. But I digress…my point was that the marketing was BS. If Stellantis wanted to honor their final editions and bring back a hellcat truck then they should have done a new Gen variant.

Okay, their crystal ball failed them.

But what would the price of a new (Gen 6) TRX be compared to using the existing Gen 5? Not to mention the time required to develop the new platform. All to appease a few that feel they used the "final edition" term wrongfully, despite not knowing it wouldn't be the final edition.

They obviously can't please everybody, but sometimes I think they shouldn't even try. This reminds me of the ones who got all bent out of shape when it was announced that more people would be able to enjoy the Durango Hellcat when it was rereleased.

I bought a '23, yet couldn't care less if they keep making them until 2045. What I don't like is that my Last Call Challenger really is.

Not the same like I said they wanted to kill the American V8. Getting people all twisted up and ready to sue over namesake badges well hell litigation fucks up alot in this country and world wide. I knew they would burn everyone on the finals why everyone should have let them lot rot until the price came to reality. Instead they rush bought out of the fear of missing out and are now pissed they overpaid. Also by rushing out to buy them at crazy adm with add on b.s. People told them yep I'm just fine with this insane pricing. It is as we make it, if we really want the prices to drop we can make it happen but most just won't get on board.

Well, they did catch some 2023-looking Challengers with manufacturer plates running around a lot recently in Michigan. A couple Demons/Hellcats, and at least one R/T. Lots of people are hoping they're coming back, but I fear they're just testing the new electrical architectures with the various V8s, and trying to hide that with the "old" Challenger bodies.

Not sure it's true, but I think I read somewhere that they destroyed the molds for them.

Would be great if the didn't. I'd really like to be able to buy one...even if it's a later model year than my Last Call.

I don’t have a dog in the fight since I didn’t buy a final edition and personally I would never waste $ on something so intangible since cars are not an investment to me. Hell I don’t think the TRX is worth over $80k fully loaded and personally I’ll never buy a MOPAR product again unless their quality and engineering standards greatly change.

BUT I can also see that the brand has a habit of calling their products something they are not. It’s not about their crystal ball…if that was the honest truth then we would see this kind of stuff across all manufacturers. And I have been to enough Barret Jackson events to know that the first and last VIN numbers (years, trims, etc) for desirable vehicles change hands at much higher prices in the collector market for folks who actually do look at vehicles as an investment.

If someone sold you 100 shares of a stock that only offered 1000 total shares and said that they would never extend the offerings beyond that…and then a couple years later started offering more shares to dilute what you own…would that be slimy or just lack of predicting the market?

Like I said, it’s my personal opinion. I think it’s unethical leadership by the company. It’s not “forced” by anything or we would see this same stuff with Ford or GM. You can have your opinion all you want as well, not going to change mine. I’m not loyal to a brand especially one as poorly run as Stellantis.

Was tasked with finding a Charger Hellcat for my girlfriend a few months ago. Knew it wouldn't be all that easy, especially since she insisted on her favorite color, Granite. And I insisted on it having the dually fenders (to make it look a bit better).

Found a perfect one in California, but that dealer wanted a $10K ADM. Searched some more and found one in Texas, with more options, and an IGLA installed, for about $18K less. Moral of the story, there's no logical reason to pay an ADM. We never have, or even MSRP, for any vehicle.

If Stellantis feels that sales increase by having special, final, or last call editions, I have no problem with that. The more the merrier.

When things then suddenly became "unforced" (EVs) it makes perfect economical sense to keep selling and/or resume selling vehicles that people actually want. Or should they have stayed course just to make some people feel more special about their "special" purchases?

Meanwhile we'll keep enjoying our nine Stellantis vehicles, no matter what special names or badges they have, or don't. And it doesn't matter what they're worth, or what others think they're worth.

Ah...Not all Einal Edition buyers are idiots when they buy vehicles.

Some of us have skill, some of us know how to negotiate, some of us paid way UNDER MSRP on our "Fnal Edition" that we still love.

And all of us FE owners enjoy the special splash screen and badging Etc that may not mean anything to some people, but we who have them, enjoy them, over those who don't, Im sure!

And many of us Final Edition owners, especially those of us who have already paid them off, are willing to flip them for more money than you will get for your peasant version, on a new 26 Red Eye! 😝

Bottom line, don't lump us all together, some of us did it right, even though we have more money than common sense...🤣🇺🇲

You are correct but I was talking about the over payers not all FE owners just the rush buyer. If you think mine is the peasant edition compared to what came in the final editions. I don't know what to tell you besides seek some help your eyes are broken.🤑 Never cared for the splash screen if I wanted it I could pay someone to put it in but not my thing. @BigRay makes any badge I could care to have. Mine is never for sale big difference between me and you I guess, I don't trade out I just buy more! Lesson is things not always how we think. God bless America where we can spend house money on our toys!🤣

Legitimate question.

How much more over a regular color trx will the special/final editions fetch in 5-10 years.
Will they have a few K premium in the used market or negligible when compared to same year, similar mileage.

In the same line of thought, if you bought your FE for significantly under msrp that would point possibly to the fact that they will not hold anymore value than similar year, mile, and equipment non FE.

Mystichrome cobras have a HUGE premium over normal colors. Someone else may be able to think of other recent vehicles that also carry large premiums based on color alone.

Depends, things can sell for whatever someone is willing to pay. Just because one person went crazy and spent a ton on something does not mean it will transfer. You still have to find another buyer who will pay the same or more. Then there is the options and modifications conversation. It's really up in the air too many factors at play to say any of them will be worth shit in the future. Why I buy to play, not to think how I'm getting money back from the next owner. There won't be one still have my first bike!

They need to develop specific all terrain tires that go past 118mph for trx

No TRX news but if you are looking to buy a V8 Ram truck, you are going to pay a premium for some odd reason over the Hurricane I6. A dealer buddy of mine sent me this message and I have a bad feeling about pricing once we get closer to the TRX

Put me in the skeptic camp on this one. Far less torque, power and cost and a $1,500+ premium? I'll believe that when I see it.

TRX Forum Favs 👍
