This is my third Durango. Started with ordering a '23 Hellcat, but didn't like it (couldn't order the base version at the time) so took it back to the dealer after three months, still with the same 18 miles on it, plastic on the seats, etc. Yep, never drove it.Adding a durango is looking better and better. Rather than spending 50k upgrading trx for slightly better trx. You got yourself a good sleeper with a gt badge once you put a whipple on it lol. Did you get a tow and go?
Looked at used cop cars, which were available with a V8 and AWD, but didn't like all the idle hours on those, and a little over a year ago I bought a regular used '19 GT Plus AWD. Liked almost everything about it, a lot, but the while the V6 works just fine in the lighter and more aero friendly Challenger here at altitude, it was not quite enough for a Durango.
Needless to say, when finding out that a 5.7 Durango with AWD would be available for '26 I ordered one the first day the banks opened. No reason to add any more power to this $40K beater car, it runs just fine as is. Obviously not like the 6.2 Challenger, but that one's not an all-season beater.
And I didn't want to Tow and Go option. It would've resulted in lower gearing as I recall. Besides, no way would I tow with it. That's what the Ram 3500 and Pete are for.
I don't think you'd regret getting a 5.7 Durango.
