If it's so easily done now why was the 2021 model detuned to 702?

I don’t believe the hellcat was “detuned” in the trx. I thought it was the different intake that made it lose a few ponies. Could be wrong though.

Yep, intake tracts, what rpm the output is measured at, slightly tweaked programming. and other things have all been used over the years to come up with various numbers for the 6.2.

Don't remember if I've ever seen the true numbers for a TRX, but the basic 707 hp version was underrated by something like 17 hp in a Challenger. That makes it easy to say that the '19 model was 717 hp...which was also underrated but not by as much.

If I remember correctly the Direct connection kits for the regular HC didnt add anything worthy or really noticeable with only the Redeye getting better kits.

If the 2026 is going to be in 760-790Hp with same exact engine and blower it will need a smaller pulley, injectors and it will need to be tuned. If it's so easily done now why was the 2021 model detuned to 702?

Their Stage 2 kit for the regular HC is rated at 757hp and comes with a 3.17 pulley. Stock injectors. I guess the implication is that they will be doing something similar on the new TRX.

Maybe I’m a bit of a Scrooge, but that doesn’t do much for me. How much am I going to notice or appreciate that bump over my paid for 2021? The longer Ram makes us wait, the less interested I am.

I’d say the price will be equivalent to what the FE sat at. 120ish.
The trx is no longer the steal when compared to a raptor R.

Nice thing is, with how high the prices have gone, anyone with a “first gen” trx will enjoy higher resale.

Similar but not the exact same as how Nissan gtr continued to increase prices and the older models had almost no depreciation because of it

Dodge has lowered the prices on Durangos, so the TRX may not cost as much as some predict.

As much as I like Sublime Green on a Challenger, that would be a lot of bright green on one vehicle. I’m not sure I’d like that on the TRX.

I had it on my 2017 Ram 1500. It's more like Urban camo. In a parking lot you just cannot find the truck among other vehicles.

Not that mine gets subjected to parking lots, or the public in general, but if it's even more under the radar than Granite I'm interested.
