Ram SRT Muscle truck…pic released less than an hour ago

I am very interested in the 2WD/AWD setup in these. 2WD and the 8spd should get respectable MPG. These new trucks seem to be designed with the city dweller in mind. Smart move as that is where 90% of the TRXs and RHOs live.

Unfortunately, even though I am that use-case scenario…. I’m keeping the TRX because it will handle the awful, crater ridden, hellish, moonscape Michigan calls “roads”. I was fixing bent wheels and blown tires regularly with my other “sport” trucks (SRT-10 QC and 2nd gen Lightning, and Jeep WK2 SRTs). These Bees sure do sound like the perfect daily tho!

Well according to my friend Chat GPT this is what its going to look like from the available information that was seen/told at the showing....

Copperhead featured one of the most aggressive aerodynamic packages Dodge has shown in years. The front fascia reportedly includes massive air intakes, slim LED lighting, and a sharp shark-nose design that gives the coupe a serious track-ready appearance.

A huge S-duct built into the hood helps channel airflow over the car, while additional vents and extractors appear designed to cool the engine bay and improve high-speed stability. Along the sides, deep sculpted channels and brake-cooling vents further reinforce the car’s motorsports-inspired look.

Out back, the giant rear wing immediately became one of the biggest talking points. Several journalists compared it to the oversized rear aero setup used on the Dodge Viper ACR. Combined with a large rear diffuser and aggressive body lines,

If these rumblebees were stick, it would be a done deal as an addition to the TRX. Of course would have to get the srt hellcat one, although the 6.4 would be fun too.

Was watching an engineer interview by Boosted Motorsports. He revealed the 2WD button also locks the rear differential. He explained it was solely for the purpose of doing donuts in parking lots. Not for driving around & enjoying RWD dynamics & better fuel economy.

Lame, IMHO. Guess they designed these trucks to be juvenile “show off” machines. Yeah, I did a few donuts in parking lots in my teens & 20s.

He did say a track oriented rear differential was being developed (limited slip, but more advanced…I’m guessing torque vectoring), but details were limited.

I’m thinking of selling my 2023 red level 2 TRX with 23,000 miles and and IGLA to make room for either the Bloodshot TRX or Rumble Bee SRT. First question is approximately how much will I get for my 2023? Should I sell it now before the market gets flooded? Are we sure the TRX will come out before the Rumbe Bee SRT? That will factor heavily in my decision between the two unless I am forced to get those hideous side graphics on the Bloodshot.

IMO the new TRXs dont offer solid improvements to make the switch worth it. Had it included upgraded brakes or something that made it that much better but its solely a new headlight, tailght and of course the SRT badges. Its essentially the same truck back from the dead.
777 hp is nicer than 702 but its mainly an ego thing, I wonder if you will notice that much in performance. You could easily get that difference with safe mods. Hellcats have been around a long time.

Dealer markup will make your switch painful too FYI. Unless you are willing to travel to a large dealer selling lower margin trucks, expect your local dealers to get $10-$30 ADMs over retail at least for a good year after it comes out.

I think selling now might have a better value than as we move closer to release of the '27s but unless you have a close dealer relationship to know exactly how much you will drop on the switch its a big grey area now.

I like the RB but that half cab SUCKS. Can't fit anyone back there so to sacrifice all you already have to have street tires and a nice front bumper is a bit too much. That thing comes out it will be a wild west hunt with prices too.

Im looking for a car, wanted the C8 ZR1 but the games with pricing are still insane. Wonder if Dodge would drop a nice option well see I guess.

You hit the nail on the head with this response. My thoughts exactly.

RAM finally used black lug nuts on the Rumble Bee SRT and hopefully black tape weights. It blows my mind that they use sh!t chrome lugs and silver weights on their vehicles with black wheels 🙈

Damn!

So when I get a a Bee, not only do I have to get get non-black wheels for it, but also appropriate lug nuts.

Either way, I'll keep using my regular wheels weights.

Well shit. Why the hell would they do that!?!? It’s not like it’s rocket science. That’s one of the biggest selling points of the Raptor (2WD for better mileage and overall efficiency).

Are you sure about that? From what I saw the spool button is what locks the rear diff and puts it in crowd killer mode for you.

These Rumble Bee trucks are the bees knees! Its been a depressing 3 years since the dodge last call and others went hard (and failed) on EVs. Will like to see how much room the quad cab allows, quick internet search puts it at just over 35 inches so similar to the Ford Bronco and getting my kids in and out of that is a breeze. So many good choices for my next Truck…I was set on the new TRX tho but this reveal…gave me choices haha, so you can still do all the truck things but have the street performance also…pretty great

I was not going to get rid of a pampered TRX with 5K miles on it, why would I?

Well, after reading the specs on the RB I most likely will. Ideally I win the lottery and have both.

After watching many Rumble Bee SRT videos since the announcement it makes me sad that RAM really put nothing into the TRX SRT compared to what really brings the RB SRT to life 💪 Some tough decisions coming soon!

Just another quick reminder for those following the new Ram Rumble Bee, — be sure to check out our new sister site dedicated to all things Rumble Bee:

To be fair, the TRX was already quite solid. Had it not been interrupted for two years...
I agree, but when RAM threw a lot at the RHO they still left some more than just an engine and transmission to add to the TRX if calling it an SRT, but they just didn’t do anything special. At least some upgraded brakes from the RHO!

TRX Forum Favs 👍
