PSA - Update your Tom Tom maps (for free, no OTA)

I’m going to look past the trolling part, and focus on the topic.
It’s not clear to me what your expectations were with the map update, but you definitely aren’t going to see a change in the overall look and feel of the navigation. This is simply an updated database that includes new roads, interchanges, updated speed limits, etc. Probably still inaccurate in many ways, I imagine. I’m not vouching for them on it. Simply stating that a Tom Tom data refresh isn’t going to be anything more than that.
And for what it’s worth, this is probably the exact same data that the UC4 systems will be updated with - despite the fact that UC4 and UC5 look and feel different.

Excellent restraint sir lol. I work with an ole miss fan. She’s always grumpy as hell too. Must be a thing. And thanks for the PSA

Only reason i commented was to make sure people realized it was only a map update for a UC5 but it is the only selection it gives so while it should be obvious stranger shit has happened.

Now that we're back on topic lol, can anyone answer this question from earlier in the thread?

What did you select in the drop down menus? I did Ram - Ram - Uconnect5
Yes, that’s the appropriate choice. For a 2022 TRX.

@ Eighty. Thank you so much for what you doing here... I my self learnt a lot from you and I think we need more ppl like you to educate those of us who don’t know as much or not experienced.

if i was under 500 id probaly attack something else instead of the content. feel free to DM if you wanna talk man to man
I wasn’t attacking anything. And DM isn’t man to man. Still keyboard to keyboard. Try to be less angry, you might enjoy it. Maybe take your TRX for a spin to cheer up? Mine puts a grin on my face every time I smash the skinny pedal!

I selected Ram - Ram - Uconn5 but it only gave me 4 files to download
There are more files. You just have to scroll down (it’s not necessarily apparent that it is a scrollable list).

So just load them on a thumb drive and then plug the drive into the truck? Any specific port in the truck?
Does it download automatically or do you have to select anything on the screen?

There are a few screen steps you have to go through, but it’s pretty seamless.
One thing to note: your USB has to be formatted to FAT32. First time I tried, I didn’t realize that (mine was exFAT), so the truck didn’t recognize it at all.

I have a problem. I am in Australia and the 1500's and TRX's do not come with the Australian Maps and nor are they available on the website. However, I notice that if you select Jeep Grand Cherokee, you can download the Oceania maps. Do you think these would work on the TRX?

I am nervous about trying it and bricking the unit, since the dealers over here dont want anything to do with the TRX, especially my modified one. So getting genuine Mopar parts is impossible.
