PNW (Pacific Northwet....WA, OR)

Personal friends with Troy Ding, he is the only place I go to for Mopar Performance in the PNW, highly recommend.
I was contemplating having Troy doing some tuning on my 16 hellcat M6......but the market went crazy and sold it before having anything done to it.....Now it might be time for the TRX to get some go fast stuff done.

To the Black TRX with the ram bar, power running boards, and Dan cummings license plate frame. I apologize for driving erratic next to you on xmas day near south hill/graham area. I was to drooling over how nice that truck looks. I kept speeding up to take a look at that truck. Damn Nice

Here's my question to the PNW/west coasters. What did you guys do, and would you have done it differently? 1. Buy from local dealer and pay MSRP - 5k mark up. I think I saw Auburn dealer Bud Cleary does MSRP. or 2). get the 8-10k savings from dealer back east, fly out there and drive it back, or have it shipped for about 2k?

Option 2 saves money, but I really don't want to put 1200 miles on it right away like that Although, the wife is all in for a road trip.

Any help and suggestion would be greatly appreciated. I got the hard part done, getting the wife to agree to this beast.

I ordered mine through my local dealer (West Hills in Bremerton), actually ordered 2 since the first order was talking so long. First order placed in June for a 22 they gave me 1500 off MSRP. Ordered a 23 in September since the first order wasn't even scheduled for build yet and using the information from this forum about dealerships doing 10k off I was able to get 3500 of MSRP. That works for me because of the tax savings on trade combined with the cost and time of picking up from one of those dealers. First order should be here next week and second order is scheduled to arrive beginning of February

Figured I'd start a TRX PNW thread since nobody else has. Post up just to say hi and keep in touch with other PNW Peeps.?

Please post up anything from PNW dealership contacts, preferred dealers, experiences with shops and aftermarket modders etc..
This is great, I’m in North Seattle and thinking of ordering from out of state dealership esto get a solid deal. None local would give me that below MSRP price I was seeking. But I’m in need of some mods from local after market shops, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

any chance you remember your salesman name?

I do but the salesman didn't matter. I had different ones for each order. I have had about 3 different people handling my order at this point

Went to dave Smith auto in Idaho. My local dealers were only willing to go $5k above msrp. Dave Smith did msrp and price protected...took 8 months 21 days from order to receive it 2nd new truck from them and had great easy experience with them.

I went with Granger (twice). Talked with Dave Smith and local dealers but it was quickly apparent we were on different planets. Flew into Des Moines, grabbed an Uber, picked up the TRX and had a complete blast road tripping back to WA. Make sure you have CA emissions clearly indicated on the build. You'll need it for WA DMV.

Second time (wife's 392) we drove a car out for my son who lives in IA. Road trip back was awesome. No regrets- wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

So interesting thing for those in the King and Snohomish county that deal with the RTA tax, got my tab renewal notice and with the RTA tax its was $1150. I started looking on their web page for how they determine who/what/how gets taxed, and I looked under Passenger Trucks and it states 6k or more are not suppose to be taxed, our trucks are 6800 gross. I went in to the Licensing office and found out Carvana submitted the wrong gross weight of the vehicle @4800. So if you are getting hit with the RTA tax for your TRX go get a certified weight slip (I got mine from Lynnwood Recycles cost $5) with your VIN on it. Go back to the Licenses office and explain the issue and they will adjust the weight of the vehicle and save you ~1k in taxes. So went from $1150 to $150 to renew my tabs.

The dealer I went through in Wenatchee thought this would be an issue and did a great job of looking into it and making sure I was aware that passenger vehicles over 6000lb are not subject to the tax. Glad you did the research and were able to make it right! Also, I'm in the Tacoma / pierce country area, and the RTA also applies.

Thanks I forgot that Pierce also applies. I ride the light rail regularly so I dont mind paying my fair share, but I am not going to give them $1k if I dont have to!! :)

I flew to Wisconsin to buy my TRX and drove her back to Seattle. I got MSRP and an early build so I was one of the early WA owners of a TRX. The local dealers laughed at me for thinking I'd get it at MSRP and the car folks on Aurora ave basically called me a liar and said I couldn't get it at MSRP. Worth the trip and the long drive just got me through the 500 mile threshold faster and it was a fun and amazing drive (especially through the switch back passed in Idaho).

Long shot.....You still got those tires?
do you need wheels as well? I have a set of wheels w/ tpms (w/ about 150 miles on them) - in Bend, OR.

Something to keep in mind. The build weight of the TRX makes the truck ineligible for the RTA tax. Anything over 6k gross doesn't qualify so I didn't have to pay. Gotta thank my dealership for double checking.

I don't really need wheels as well, how much are you asking for the wheels?

I’m looking for a set of wheels in Seattle.

Edit: Found some!
