Pedal commander

PC78 is incorrect? Thats what I am using in my truck?
I emailed pedal commander as it was a different shape for my truck and would not plug in!

Let me check mine, at dinner right now... 98% sure its PC78 tho. Weird.
They got back to me, and assured me that the PC78 is correct. It seems that Amazon may have sent me the wrong one!

Whew good! Lol I was thinking oh crap ( on my end ), well I am sorry that happened but it is worth getting one imo! Amazon has easy returns luckily!

Oh yah already returned and ordered a new one that should be here by tomorrow! I've had them before, such a great product!

While the Pedal Commander does what it advertises, the Banks PedalMonster has a few unique features that make the PC unit obsolete. PedalMonster is connected via OBD. It knows your speed and gear. When you put your truck in reverse, your throttle sensitivity goes back to stock. No one wants a twitchy throttle in reverse, especially when towing. But the most significant difference is that it's powered by 12v from OBD, not by the 5v pedal circuit. On most RAM trucks (1500 EcoDiesel is the worst), there's only 20-30 milliamps of overhead in the pedal circuit. The circuit is not designed to power anything other than the pedal itself. That's why so many throttle boosters cause intermittent check engine lights. The ECM sees a higher-than-normal current draw and disables the pedal. PedalMonster is powered by the 12v from OBD, which is fused at the battery. Finally, the Banks guys pulled back the curtain. With their mobile app, you can see your pedal input and the module's output in real-time. It's kinda fun to watch how much they're altering the signal. Just some food for thought...

That is a good point! I will keep it on the back burner in case I start having issues with the PC. Had one on my 2014 Ram for over 3 trouble free years, so for now I will stick with who I know.

Love my PC. I adjusted to Sport+ yesterday and it may just be a bit too much for city driving 😁

I looked up Pedal Monster - can someone explain the iDash that is in the upgraded (?) purchase?

Been watching this thread as to pull the trigger on a Pedal Commander , since I had one in my traded 2015 Silverado. It made that truck feel alot quicker and it over all made the driving experience much more fun even though I know it doesnt make any HP gains.

just a heads up its on sale this week on Amazon. I have it in my cart but wouldnt mind any other feedback of How you guys like it in the TRX so far!

I have used Ultimate 9 (formally iDrive) on all of my vehicles for the past 4 years and couldn't be happier with the performance of these units. The biggest difference between the Ultimate 9 and other throttle controllers is the Ultimate 9 has programming that is model specific whereas other throttle controllers are connector specific and use the same program regardless of what vehicle it is being used on.

I will create a new thread with a discount code that can be used to save 20% for a limited time.
