Pedal commander

I ordered a Bank’s pedal monster. Looks like it is a little more sophisticated than the Pedal commander and has some engineering failsafe’s built into it.
It’s back ordered about a week or two.

I had bad experience with the Pedal Commander on my previous Ram. You couldn’t give me one. I replaced it with the Banks Pedal Monster and didn’t have any problems but didn’t have it long before traded the Longhorn for the TRX. I am not putting either system on the TRX. I don’t find it necessary on this truck

Steiger

Im used to custom tuning everything I drive, either personally, remotely, dyno, etc. so for me, the pedal on the TRX is very lazy and takes away from the snap I know the truck can have.

It can really benefit.

Idk I am pro-pedal commander, first thing I bought for my TRX after pulling out into the median on a divided highway, I hammered down to shoot the gap in the traffic and the truck hesitated and then took off, doesn't do that now. Just have to turn it off if you want to use launch control. The bluetooth connected to my phone is pretty slick as far as mounting it goes, I just have it tucked out of sight now. Had it mounted on the dash (before BT) on my 2014 Ram, and hated it there, when I traded it in the dealer asked why it felt so fast though. Have one on my wife's Jeep GC, granted it is only a 3.6 but the PC pepped up the throttle response. Also had one when my wife had her Wrangler 3.6. Sport +, +4 on everything, all the time. Unless someone else was driving i.e. pulling me and my boat out of the lake otherwise... It would be a dramatic and entertaining ride for me 😂🤣. To each their own though but imo it helped the TRX without a doubt.

AMR TRX,

by stepping up the throttle tip in, you can fling the butterfly in the throttle body open more quickly. Let’s say it takes 0.1 seconds for you to stomp on the gas and for the butterfly to be fully open. With a stepped up throttle tip in, you might cut that down to 0.05. I forget the exact numbers but I once saw it calculated out. The point being….it’s not all placebo. It will improve the throttle response in addition to improving the tip in ratio.

I know thats why I said I am pro PC and have or had one on all my rigs!

Had one on my last truck, installed two of these on customers Rams. No one has had any issues and they have all noticed a difference in throttle acceleration!

This is my first time using a Bank’s. I’ve done JMS and Pedal Commander in the past. I’ve not had issues with dead pedals or anything but the banks looks like a step up. Could be marketing I guess.

Doesn't the pedal commander just tweak throttle sensitivity? Seems like I can accomplish the same effect by pushing the pedal further no?

Think of it like leverage.

a wrench just unscrews a bolt right? Theoretically you could do it with your fingers, but you can’t apply it with the right amount of force to do the same thing.

as fast as you slam your foot to
The floor…. It’s not as fast as electricity… so while it increases the percentage of throttle tip in it also decreases the time it takes for the butterfly to respond to your input — thus the very snappy feeling it gives.

Makes sense. Might have to pony up and give it a try.

Keep us updated on the banks. I also notice a little lag when accelerating hard, then the ponies start to gallup and it takes off lol

Maybe more of a wrench vs an impact? Or maybe just a ratchet. Its not the same as just pressing harder, hard to explain. Its magic. Buy it on amazon, try it on Sport+, +4. If you don't like it, easy return. Or wait until I get another $50 off code, happens every once in a while but it is only valid on their website. Everyone I have given a demo of it to on my trucks is believer now. And it amplifies SPORT and BAJA modes. Stupid easy install too.

Ill try to chase down a coupon code. I heard good things about it for the C8 but just always assumed it was the same as pushing the pedal down further so skipped out. Worth giving it a try.

So I ordered a pedal commander today and it was the wrong one. I was making a video and everything damn it. Anyways the PC78 is the incorrect one for our truck if anyone is curious.

Go for the Banks Pedal Monster. Mine is on order.
