Passive entry added to REAR doors?? *EDIT* - ACCOMPLISHED AND WORKS PERFECTLY!!!

Correct. I can set you up with the wiring kit and instructions.
Hey @Jimmy07, any chance you can help get me lined out to do this mod and let me know what i need to do? Really appreciate the help!!!

I want to give some MASSIVE PROPS to @Jimmy07 on helping line me out on these rear handles. I just did the install today and it went perfectly, and I couldn't have done it without him.

I bought (2) sets of right front proximity door handles + handle caps already prepainted granite (to use for both rear doors), and (2) of his harnesses - which were worth every single penny. They had the matching molex plug type connecter to hook into the new handle, label tags for which wire they tap into, convenient wire taps, within their own wire loom, etc. They honestly looked OEM factory and were the perfect length- it made it so much easier, literally plug and play.

First door took me about 3+ hours. Then once I figured out what I needed to do and how it went together/ taken apart/etc, the next door took me an hour or less. It works exactly like it should, I don't know why they didn't just add this from the factory.

Thanks again @Jimmy07!!!

What is the cost? Actually surprised they don’t come like this. I have a 2011 Buick LaCrosse and it came from the factory with all 4 doors equipped and I bet even older cars have it

When you get a chance, can you give us a parts list and cost breakdown?

I'm glad everything works. Can't wait to do mine.

All in all, I'm in the whole thing for less than $400 (including door handles/caps, and the purchased pre-made harnesses). Absolutely well worth it- all 4 doors should have this standard on a $100K 2022 fully loaded truck... but I digress.

So I can't take any credit for putting all of this information together in the first below link- it's from the 5th Gen Forums, but has a very nice breakdown of the part numbers needed for the handles/caps based on truck color, as well as part numbers to make your own harnesses (you'll need (2) of them per side- one from the door handle to the door/cab boot connector, and one from that connector to run down your passenger door sill plate to tap into the existing wires). When you run the harness under the driver's side front door sill plate, you'll be looking for the green wire with white stripe, and the green wire with yellow stripe to tap into. Same idea for the passenger side, but you’ll be looking for the green wire with orange stripe, and the green wire with purple stripe.

HOWEVER, if @Jimmy07 is still willing to make the harnesses for people, I can not recommend them enough. They seriously looked OEM and made install an absolute breeze. Worth every freaking penny for the ease/convenience.

Below is a youtube link to a video I took, with incredibly piss poor videography of me doing the install process for the right rear door. (I've never recorded myself doing any of my automotive endeavors, and watching it back makes me realize I should never do one again 😂 But it will still explain the process I took- and hopefully save you guys some of the anguish I experienced being the guinea pig!)

Good luck!

Great video. It's going to help alot of people including me
Great video? Are you sure you watched my video? Ha just kidding- glad it helped though!
If you have any questions let me know- happy to help.

For those buying and doing this kit which is awesome! You might wanna consider doing your ambient lighting at the same time as you will already have 2 of the 4 door panels off. Just a thought.

You've got my interest peaked... what mod is this that you speak of?

It is the paragoptics ambient light kit. Unfortunately it is Not a few colors but the kit is too quality and it looks great compared to the stock white and very dim ambient light that comes with the truck. I bought it a year ago now and I remember it was back ordered for a bit but maybe they caught up. Top quality kit and easy to install in my opinion. Lemme find the thread on it so you can see some pics

i can’t believe the price has actually doubled since i ordered mine. It is either that good or that in demand. 164C4CBE-BBAF-444E-AD4D-C515D97CB81D.webp
