New screen with update?

I recently received an advertisement trying to sell me a pre-paid service plan. Is that a new thing? Are they pushing "updates" to our Uconnects to sell us stuff?
That's been happening to me for some time, I suspect it has something to do with that stupid passenger screen, and it's supposed to go there, because having it show up for the driver would be a lawsuit ready to happen.

And speaking of lawsuits ready to happen. How come something in that area hasn't occurred yet? I'm not a lawyer, but it sure seems that a lawyer might make a few bucks on this deal since all of us are affected.

and @RamCares my 24 final Edition has never had any change from the rho graphics, once you/they pushed this crap out. Am I going to sell the truck showing it has 480 horsepower? And is an rho in disguise?

Why hasn't my truck at least got a temporary update to show that it's a trx? Are you pissed at me because I've been realistic in your roll out so you blacklisted me from a update? That's what it seems like.

Well it's been a week without any new post. Has anyone seen improvement? I had my TRX serviced last Friday at my local dealership. The Service manager is trying to get us some answers better than RamCares!!

No change, but that's a good thing because my system is running perfectly now and I don't want them fucking that up. Still have TRX graphics, but missing the second page of gauges, wrong HP, and can't customize the drive modes. I would rather have those working like they should but I'm not going to lose a minute of sleep over something so trivial.

So I factory reset my system a little over 2 weeks ago as it was basically unusable with Carplay and odd quirks. Things have been good so far. Carplay starts up almost instantly. Audio cut outs have gone away and the system is overall responsive. I still have the same issues regarding the Drive modes where I select a mode and it will default back to "auto" on the center display, but the gauge cluster shows the correct mode. I also can't edit custom mode.

One thing I have noticed is if I go Vehicle and then click "Performance Pages" I'll get a spinning circle that doesn't go away, or the screen will go right back to my Carplay interface. So I've seemed to have lost that feature. I'll trade that for Carplay reliability though for now.

Also, does anyone know how to get rid of this pop up. It comes up and will not go away on it's own without hitting the red X. Kind of annoying.

this is what i had to do. I have XM so don't get the pop up.

Me too. Still no change. Can’t update drive modes other than auto and just yesterday, I went to back into the driveway, threw it in reverse and….no camera. Had to go old school and use the mirrors. It came back after restarting the vehicle.

I am still defaulted to auto although I think the drive modes have actually changed. Custom mode wont let me select certain features.

Guages are limited to one screen and half of the original guages.

The performance pages are limited... which also sucks... My kids liked to watch the screens and see numbers etc.

Not that anything will come from it, but wanted to share. I sent an email to Tim Kuniskis (RAM CEO) and copied his executive assistant detailing the issues we all have been having wit the U-Connect debacle. Surprisingly, I got a call from Stellantis HQ last week. I verbally advised what had gone on since the RHO OTA was sent to our TRX platforms and the now over year long fiasco. The representative said she was going to speak to folks at RAM HQ and call me back this coming week. I advised her that the TRX folks were HOT and that they need to fix it and fast before other action may be under taken and their reputational damage was unrepairable. We will see, not at all optimistic, but thought I would share.

Hope it works, Thanks..... Bold text, too late.

Good Day Everyone,

I got a call back today from Stellantis and after the call a follow up email, that I am posting below without any details of the sender (for obvious reasons). Looks like they are aware and detail the proposed fix and timing below 🤞

Dear Mr. Harden,

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed concerns regarding the Uconnect 5 system on your RAM TRX. I want to acknowledge the frustration you and other TRX owners have experienced with the recurring software issues and the impact this has had on your ownership experience. Please know that your feedback is taken very seriously.

I am pleased to inform you that Stellantis has scheduled a forthcoming resolution for the telematics module concerns. A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) that will be covering the R1H Radio Over‑The‑Air (FOTA) update, which will transition software versions from T27.46 → U29.44 → U35.36. This update is designed to address the programming inconsistencies you described and improve overall system stability.

The bulletin applies to 2023–2024 (DT) RAM 1500 pickups equipped with the Global Telematics Box Module (Sales Code RDG) and Uconnect 5 NAV radios, including:

8.4" Display (USA – UBL / CAN – UEL)

12.0" Display (USA – UBQ / CAN – UEQ)

14.4" Display (USA – UBW / CAN – UEW)

The rollout of this fix is currently scheduled for April through June 2026. Updates will be delivered via Firmware Over‑The‑Air (FOTA), ensuring that affected vehicles receive the corrected software without requiring a service visit.

We understand the importance of reliable, high‑end technology in your vehicle and regret the inconvenience these issues have caused. Please be assured that Stellantis is committed to restoring full functionality and confidence in the Uconnect system. I will continue to monitor the progress of this update and provide you with timely communication as additional details become available.

Thank you again for your patience and for bringing this matter forward. Your loyalty to the brand is valued, and we are committed to ensuring your ownership experience meets the standards you expect.

Sincerely,

Thanks for doing this, but my questions are:

1. So us 2022s are just SOL?

2. How in the HELL is it possible to take SO LONG to fix this in today's world with AI? I bet a few of us on this forum could have it fixed in a week using AI. How does a company as large as Stellantis take years to solve this problem?
