My drive modes are all screwed up. Can't change anything custom and the highlighted button always reverts back to auto if I select another mode.

Y'all gotta give RamCares a break. These are social media outreach people, with some limited abilities to help make connections between dealers, buyers, and case managers. They're not programmers, or technicians, or upper management. They've got quite a thankless job in dealing with the likes of us.

Is there any safety component to the issues we are all having with the Tech in our trucks? I have been thinking about how to apply additional leverage/pressure on RAM corporate (besides forming a class action class) and filing NHTSA complaints may be a way; however, there must be some safety component for the NHTSA to consider it. I don’t see any safety issues, with my issues; however, we all seem to be be having some similar and some different issues so wanted to float this out to the group. Another way might be filing complaints with each of our States Attorney General’s office?

How about slipping transmission? Thanks to them messing with the TRX programming. The custom drive modes don't work. Like it is programmed for the RHO...

"Tesla style" screen swap. It's china sourced but gets rid of Uconnect entirely, and you can program it. Haven't found a trx that's done it yet, but the parts exist to do so.

Unless of course they found a way to make all that work. I doubt it though. I have changed out the Uconnect 2 (or 3) on my 2015 Chrysler 200 to a Kenwood head unit. Mainly to get Android Auto. With that to retain all the features takes a separate module from idatalink Maestro. The heated and cooled seats along with steering wheel controls work.

I'm not sure if any radio would retain the custom drive modes and launch control. Maybe with the idatalink module. But I doubt these Chinese displays would

I don’t know, this one seems to have heated seats and steering controls. I’d have to get one and play with it to see.

So here are some more updates. The infotainment has been basically unusable all weekend. Randomly all day Friday, Carplay started up instantly and worked without a single issue. Yesterday, we went to go grab lunch, started the truck and Carplay came right up and started playing my music. There was a skip/pause about 20-30 seconds in and then when I tried to use google maps, the entire interface was EXTREMELY laggy. If I pushed the Google maps button icon, nothing happened for 10-15 seconds, then the display would switch to the Google maps interface. I tried to start directions from my phone and then the display said "No device connected" at the top left side above the Carplay interface. Shortly after that my carplay stopped working. So my 30 minute drive was spent doing the following. First, I deleted my phone in the device manager on the uconnect. Then I went in my BT settings on my phone and deleted uconnect. I paired my phone again and it connected, but only Bluetooth audio would work. I did a soft restart/reset by holding down the power button. The screen rebooted, and gave me the RAM logo and then "Loading" but no "accept" button. Then the display turned off. I turned it on, and had the black screen with two boxes and the edit button. Nothing worked again, so I restarted it again holding down the power button. Same deal as before where the Ram screen comes up then the Loading but no accept button and the screen turns off. I turned it back on and my Carplay started working again, but climate, clock, and all the buttons at the bottom did not display. I just had the dancing carplay screen. My volume control did not work at all. I turned the volume up and down and nothing. Then the audio turned WAY up in a very delayed fashion. Volume down and mute wouldn't work. So I had to press the power button to cut the audio. I turned it back on and the same thing. No volume. I rebooted it again and this time after a few minutes of the same RAM screen with Loading and then no accept button, but my carplay started working but only audio. The center display was the black screen with two empty boxes and the edit button. I had audio though and could skip tracks. I also had directions in my gauge cluster, but no carplay on the main display. Pics below.

After spending 2 hours at lunch. We came out and I remote started the truck, got in and everything fired up and worked perfectly for the drive home.

Today:
Get in the truck and carplay works for about 20 seconds and then I have the audio cut out like yesterday and days before. "No device connected" is displayed at the top of the screen. I go into device manager and it brings up my phone. I click the Music icon between the phone and carplay icon and then go to Media and clicked BT and my music started to play. I then went back to Device manager and clicked on the Carplay icon and carplay started working again.

Same story as above after I left my destination this morning. Had to go to Bluetooth audio to get music to work, then Carplay would work.

30 Minutes ago I get in the truck to drop my son at a friend's house. Start it up, Carplay fires up and the audio cuts out after a few seconds. Click over to Device manager and then select Music for BT audio and my music works. I keep pressing the carplay button but get a message saying "unable to connect to device blah blah blah". Same story as above leaving the friend's house. I just got home now and in the driveway did a factory reset. Gave the truck a few minutes while running and it looked like it reset everything. I had the option to setup/name my profile but when I tried to type the keyboard wouldn't display what I was typing. I exited out of there and to the main screen which did the bouncing around. After everything became responsive again I still had no temperature read out or heated/cooled seat icons. No clock, no buttons at the bottom for HVAC, Settings, Carplay etc. I gave it a few more minutes, then put it in revers to back into the garage. I noticed it must have kept my settings and not fully reset because it automatically set the parking brake and the hill hold option was turned off like I had changed it years ago. No backup cameras worked either backing it in the garage. I turned it off and came in here to type this up.

Again, this is infuriating and I plan to waste most of my day tomorrow calling and email everyone in a higher position I can at Stellantis/FCA whatever the fuck.

I'm also shopping a replacement vehicle. I know they won't care, but I can't deal with an unusable infotainment system.

@RamCares log this for your ticket or whatever it is you do when reporting to "Developers".

Welp. Started the truck up after doing the factory reset about 2 hours ago. It definitely reset all the settings as the theme and options were all back to factory, so that's good. I paired my phone and enabled Carplay and it fired up and worked fine for my 15 minute round trip. I didn't have to turn off the truck so we'll see how this goes a little later after I start it back up. Some things were a little laggy as it was most likely loading everything but of course, my graphics are now RHO graphics again. I really don't get this. A factory reset won't revert back to older software......so now the update that fixed this a few weeks or a month ago or more just is gone or what?

Actually looking at the above image. I don't know that it did reset all the settings unless the suspension is set to "sport" by default in custom mode. I honestly don't remember as it's been 3 years since I set it. I used to run Baja but it was too floaty on the highway.

Update. I drove the truck once last night and everything was working fine.

Started the truck and drove it once today and carplay was working fine and the correct graphics are back. Let's see how long this lasts. Also, how do I get rid of that purple/blue icon with the plus and squares at the top? I remember it being there months ago and then it either disappeared on its own or I removed it somehow.

To my knowledge, there's no way to get rid of it. It's there on my truck too, although I could have sworn it disappeared for a while.

Ignore it and it should disappear. I had it twice after software updates and both times it went away within a day or two.

I remembered having it before but wasn't sure it just disappeared or I disabled it. I'll wait it out. Right now I'll be happy if everything keeps working as it has the last 30 hours.

I have a 24 final Edition and it has never shown my TRX on the screen since this update. I have 480 HP shown on propulsion. @RamCares has done literally nothing but tell us it's going to be fixed for over a year now. This is a bunch of BS.

I am beyond pissed. And I'm seriously now looking for a replacement truck. Because if they can't even fix the software on the "radio" not sure I trust them to fix anything else should it go wrong...

I haven't looked for that information yet. My truck was working after the reset so I'm crossing my fingers and hoping it continues to work this way. When it stops, because it will, I'll start digging. Or perhaps if I get bored at work Thursday I might do that just so I have them on hand.

What truck are shopping as a replacement? I have some ideas on a replacement for mine, but it won't be a truck as I really have no need for one and only wanted this for the hellcat motor and aesthetics. I'm considering a CT5-V Blackwing or maybe an M3 at this point. I'm not really sure yet.
