New screen with update?

What version do you have?
I got the 35.26. So far the issues I’ve noticed were:
Drive modes - can’t customize them
NAV on the instruments cluster - works occasionally on the first start of the day
Performance pages - changes every few days, from not having them at all, to 2 pages and one, and wrong HP.
Very unstable software.
@RamCares , what we had before was a stable RHO graphics and performance pages, what we have now is partially usable functions.
Sorry I should have clarified. Still have issues like RHO graphics, showing 540hp (only on u connect) selecting drive modes though uconnect, it does change them but goes back to auto). At least it’s functional now, don’t have issues with screen moving up and down and not being able to access anything.

Dumb question, how do I check which version I have in u connect?
 
I did the same, it stopped the upgrafe loop i was in. Biggest problem i see now is customizing auto and custum drive modes is fucked up. The setup keep defaulting back to auto settings.
Does your truck actually change the settings into which drive mode you select then just shows it going back to auto? Or can you not select any drive mode and always goes back to auto?

In Uconnect go to Vehicle > Settings > Scroll down to System Information > Version Information

I had similar issues, the graphics switched to TRX after 2 weeks or so.

The truck seems to change the settings for real, the red box selector itself is moving back to Auto, the Setup button in the bottom, is changing back to Auto, making it impossible to edit any other driving mode.

How do you factory reset the UConnect software? Is it in the submenus or is it some key combo? I'm at wits end and going to try that next.
 
@RamCares I'm now two days in a row where carplay starts up right away after starting the truck and the music will play fine for about 5 seconds, then then I'll get a brief skip, it'll play a little more, then cut out and then I'll get the cutting in/out non stop which makes it unlistenable. If I go to Device Manager and click "Bluetooth" for audio it'll play fine. I then switch back to carplay and the same song that was just playing will cut in and out non stop.

When I hold the power button in for IDK 10 seconds or however long it takes for the screen to turn all the way off and then reboot, I get the below blank screen.

I waited about 3-4 minutes and no change or icons popped up. I turned my truck off at the next stop light, opened the door and shut it, then locked it. Then unlocked, opened the door and restarted the truck. The infotainment turned on but was just bouncing around. I didn't have my heated/cooled seat controls or the temp display.



Can we get SOME sort of update here?! This is utter bullshit. The truck is unusable. Push out the last "known" good update and fuck all these updates going forward. Christ this is infuriating.
 
I’d be in on whatever legal action can be taken. Days, weeks, months… and nothing but lip service? That’s a bit more than I can comfortably stomach. My issues don’t seem as severe as some, but I’m on my second radio screen too. I do love the truck, and understand the world racing to the cost-cutting bottom here in 2025. Alas, for a company on a quasi apology tour, they need to salvage the loyalists who will part with this type of money given their reputation at a minimum. Make this, among other things right, and they might have a future. They’ve burned quite a few integrity bridges, while handsomely charging for the experience… fool me once…

I don't have any of the issues you are describing, but I don't use CarPlay or Android Auto. After you do the factory reset, don't connect to CarPlay just to see if that's what's causing your issues.
 
had truck a dealer today for a recall appointment. Told them about the months of issues with Uconnect. They said my Uconnect was update but needed an over the air update.. Customizing Auto and Custom drive modes is still not working correctly

Thanks. All the issues I've mentioned today and yesterday are Carplay related. My graphics have been fine for about a month or whenever the last "fix" was implemented. Otherwise, I still have the same issues as everyone else with the Drive mode reverting back to Auto after selecting something else, wrong HP listed, etc. I'm aware none of that is fixed yet....and who knows if it ever will be.

The screen jumping around happens after I do a "soft reboot" by holding the power button down for 10 seconds. I'm only doing that when Carplay isn't working properly.
 
BTW I already tried deleting my phone from the vehicle and the vehicle from the phone. Then paired both again and the issue pops right back up.

I think that clicking manual fan speed arrow down, fixed the jumping screen and/or brought the menu buttons up again.

Good to know. I'll give that a try next time. I don't really feel like changing all my settings back after the factory reset. I'll probably hold off another day and see if I have the same Carplay issues tomorrow. (I'm sure I will).

Is there any safety component to the issues we are all having with the Tech in our trucks? I have been thinking about how to apply additional leverage/pressure on RAM corporate (besides forming a class action class) and filing NHTSA complaints may be a way; however, there must be some safety component for the NHTSA to consider it. I don’t see any safety issues, with my issues; however, we all seem to be be having some similar and some different issues so wanted to float this out to the group. Another way might be filing complaints with each of our States Attorney General’s office?
 
My drive modes are all screwed up. Can't change anything custom and the highlighted button always reverts back to auto if I select another mode.
