4, wow. That tells you it's obviously not some dickhead, but an actual group of likely experienced car thieves. Crazy to see "theft rings" like this actually being a thing, as a legitimate income source for people in the USA. Fucking fucks.

It’s 100% inside. Just like the last set of thefts where they caught them.

But these trucks/cars are not making their way to Eastern Europe and Asia as often as a few years ago.
These Hellcat motors and trans are winding up at dismantlers and hot rod shops.

Look at all the dismantlers with complete drive trains with under 100 miles… and under 5k miles. No damage.
There is no way a totaled vehicle will have a matching engine and transmission. One or the other gets ruined in a front or rear wreck.

Cars/trucks are designed to shed energy which means destroy themselves.

And look at all the hot rods and prerunners usjing Hellcat drive trains now.

The days of the LSX and supercharged corvette are over.

Talking to my guys at the plant, no talk of trucks stolen from there. They might have been taken from one of the shipping yards they send TRX's to.

Around here, that's not necessarily the case. It's illegal to shot someone if all they do is walk or drive across your property, but if they're doing something bad...different story.

Also, just about everybody has some sort of gun(s), which is likely part of the reason for why there's very little crime around here.

Keys are always left in the vehicle prior to shipping out on a trailer - when you have 500-3000 vehicles on the property there is no way to track who has the keys - they usually leave them in the cup holder……

Seems like a great opportunity to employ the local PD's off-duty cops. Overtime pay for them, $$ saved for Mother Stellantis, and shorter wait times for purchasers whose trucks would otherwise be stolen.

Honestly all issues are a pretty easy fix. Cloning fob solution is a software/hardware update to have a personalized pin before cloning. Repeater box solution would be is not having constant signal being displayed. The other one is the neutral strap which has no good solution unless parking brake always enabled unless key found
