Do not, I repeat do not use the fob when getting serviced. A large majority of vehicles are stolen at dealerships and they will be able to start it and drive it away. You make a new pin, show the service manager how to start it and do service mode and then change it when you pick it back up you change it back

Need to get a windshield replaced. Is giving them the car with the IGLA fob inside ok? It won’t throw any errors because it’s not in service mode, correct?

I would not ever give that IGLA fob to anyone. If you are there with the vehicle waiting then either make a temporary y pin and give it to the one person changing it or leave it running and when done go out and start it. Someone picks that IGLA fob and keys up your vehicle is gone.

change you pin to something different and easy for the person doing the work. After you get your truck back change your pin back to what it was.

Goods and services takes fee’s from the payment when sent to someone. So $55 to me would be $52.

I have noticed that depending on the cr2032 battery the inner aluminum might need to be opened a hair. I used a pocket knife, took about 30 seconds. The machining on them are pretty damn precise. (Red area the battery might be snug)
