IGLA Fob cases/covers

Bro put me down for 2 lol. I've already gone through a few of the plastic ones I purchased from you.
Working on getting more information. I do have 20+ more plastic ones in the meantime. Are you wrestling bears with it?

I treat everything that sends a signal as it can be cloned. Don't live in a world thinking nothing can be cloned and end up paying the price.
Only use the IGLA key fob when you take your vehicle in for maintenance and if you have compustar set to valet mode. other then that use the pin code so you don't end up on these forums saying someone stole your vehicle and drove away with IGLA installed. Be safe out there.

Do not, I repeat do not use the fob when getting serviced. A large majority of vehicles are stolen at dealerships and they will be able to start it and drive it away. You make a new pin, show the service manager how to start it and do service mode and then change it when you pick it back up you change it back

Probably depends on the length of time getting serviced, no? If in for oil change and tire rotation, IGLA fob probably ok since you will get truck back the same day? If going in for more than a days worth of work, probably best to provide a temp pin?

The reason I suggested the key fob for maintenance is to keep dealerships from being aware as I seen them say you voided the warranty due to how extensive the installations are and will refuse any warranty work. If they don't know about it they can't complain about it. Lol

If you ever have to leave your vehicle for a few days then you may have to take the risk of telling them and needing a temp pin.

They claim they will void it not due to it being installed but due to them not being able to access diagnostics that can only happen in service mode. You are far more safe by making a new pin and showing them than not.

No, everytime. Look up the video of a trx being stolen at a dealership mid day, they tried another but the rear end was locked up or something so on to the next one. They still need service mode for the oil change.

Why couldn’t you do service mode only instead of a new pin?

Service mode times itself out either driving or parked. Then they won’t be able to put it back into service mode without the pin. Making a new temporary pin and showing them how to use it and service mode is a better option. That also give them 100% liability if it is driven off the lot and stolen. It also gives them an idea of how it works for later customers. Its still your option as to how you handle it, just stating my opinion as to what the best most secure option is that will not give you a problem with them complaining that can’t access the diagnostics

Oh dang. I didn’t know it timed out parked. The is taller told me that after going over 20mph for a few mins it would ask for the pin next time they tried to start it. How long does it take to time out when it is parked? I always planned on telling the advisor that if they they took it off the lot they’d need to call me to get it started again but otherwise they were good for low speed around the shop.
