I went to take delivery of my Trx. Issues!

A small % have issues, but when its your truck its 100% and CS will either make or break your experience.
Hope you get it sorted out quick !!!!!!!!!!!! cheers !

I got a call from the GM saying his service checked out the vents and are working like they’re supposed to. He completely changed 360 on me from being super nice to kind of just get the car and go.

So basically they didn’t fix anything because they feel everything is working. I didn’t feel like they were. I’m going to pick up the car tomorrow anyone recommends anything?

I think they read the forum and they’re not happy I’m posting about my experience. Because why are they like that with me. I only complained about 3 things.

The god damn airbag error

Vents not working.

Finder flare scratch.

They’re giving me the impression to just get the car and go. You have warranty comeback later.

My ventilated seats are very noticeable. Way better than what Raptor did. That said, if it is cool out, you may not notice as much, but on hot days, they work great.

By far the hottest day of the year yesterday. It’s very upsetting that they deny this.

Where is Ram Care when you need them. I know they’re watching but don’t care.

So basically I have to make a decision tomorrow on buying a new car and having to deal with warranty as soon as I drive it off the lot because the dealer thinks it’s operating correctly. When I don’t feel anything.

I just say that but I’m in love with the TRX. And I love my Ram Laramie GT too. I only hate two things about the Ram brand.

1. The dealers
2. The little “dodge” errors we have to deal with.

Mopar make bad ass cars. But then f$@?;up somewhere in between.

@RamCares

I went to pick up the TRX today. After the GM personally called me yesterday stating the PDI and cleaning was done. It toke them like couple hours. So I’m assuming it’s standard.

I went and looked at it today and the cosmetics were actually better than i had envisioned.

Issues:

1. Just some scratches on one of the finder flares. Which I requested to change and they said they have to ask the factory what they want to do. I don’t understand why not just order one like a good dealer.

2. (Since the GM said the PDI was done I wasn’t expecting this). But haven’t even started driving off the lot and the airbag light and failure message came on.

3. I felt nothing from all 4 Ventilated seats. I know how these seats feel on my Laramie and my buddy’s TRX. I know people with limited and i felt their seats too.

So I didn’t take delivery until they check it out.

Other than that I loved it.

Can someone tell me if your ventilated seats are weak? I felt nothing on all 4 seats!

GM said it came in with 12 miles. 23 miles when I got there. GM was nice but he had to leave for family stuff. Sales people are garbage. Always rushing me and annoyed when I complained about the vents.
In general all CDJR I have been to in California are garbage. Never makes me feel good about my purchase. Never felt happy always stressed around these dealers. And I’m not a soft guy I’ve been through hell and back in my life. So I’m not sensitive. But if it wasn’t for these toys I will never step a foot in any CDJR in California. Just garbage. I don’t know about other states. Ram should be embarrassed of their dealers. But I never got direct answers from Ram Care ether when I needed them. Ram Care, at least through e-mail are almost like a bot.

Here are couple pictures. The person in the reflection is a sales person. I’m much better looking!😏
I agree the heated and cooled seats are not as good as my 2019 challenger RE , my 2020 GT 500,. Just don’t flow the air as the cars above.

the air flow on the 23 TRX trumps the 19 limited i had.....i mean as soon as i turn it on you feel it

Really? By not as good, do you mean they get too hot or too cold too fast for you? I think you may also have the same issue as the OP… I can leave the main AC/Heat off because the seat works so well.

I feel nothing on all 4 seats. Will see if they even did anything since they said everything is working fine.

Like others said, you should FEEL the air on your backside. On my TRX and HC RE you could feel it.

You could hold a piece of paper against the ventilated area of the seats, and see if it’s sucked against the seat. I’m assuming airflow is inward, like on my 2014 1500.

My ventilated seats are very strong. Better than bmw and my lexus by a lot. I actually get cold on the high setting. You should def be able to tell if they are on.

As I Google the ventilated seat topic I find some people state air is drawn in the perforated seat cover, drawing heat away from the occupant, and others say air is expelled from the seat.

My 2014 1500 definitely draws air into the seat (I found it draws an 8.5x11 piece of paper against the seat) and the cooling effect works quite well. During the summer months I use it much of the time.

I can’t say which direction air flows on a TRX since I don’t have one yet. But hope to within a month(?). It entered production on 4/25.

If anyone with a TRX is willing to try the paper (or cellophane) test, then we’d know.

Here is an update. I went to pick up the car. Tested the vents again. I did read some stuff last night on Google and I found another post on the forum here.

I did do the paper test. In fact I also did a napkin test. Didn’t see it getting sucked in. Listened to the fans and they seem to work. But then I did what someone suggested on another forum and set the air to floor. Also tried auto. Drove it for 15min and sure enough started feeling the cold air on the seat. Does it freeze my butt off like how some described it. No. But I was also reading somewhere that it depends on the vehicle climate. So if you have your AC running for an hour while your driving then you’ll have cold air recycling through the car.

As far as everything else at the dealer. Well I had 2 new scratches since I checked it out on the original date of the delivery. One on the trim inside the car which the GM will order a trim piece to change it. And one at the end of the door when you open it. Kind of sucks. Because it was fine when it arrived.

Left home with the car. I love it. Feels heavy but I get it. I’m not a stranger to the interior. The Laramie GT looks almost 99% the same as the TRX inside. But drives differently. I really enjoy the way Laramie drives too. But of course nothing like the TRX. Im still getting used to it. But it’s a bad ass car. A lot of people will hate you on the road. I can already see it.

The number one thing That im extremely happy that it doesn’t do is the jerk that I get sometimes with my Laramie. So if I want to cruise at 40mph and lift my foot of the peddle the Laramie would jerk, jump or whatever you want to call it. It’s a Ram 1500 thing. Taking it to dealer you always get the dealer special of (we can’t replicate it). So anyways I’m happy the TRX doesn’t do that cruising speed. Hopefully it never does. I felt it a tiny bit with the TRX when first taking off and lifting my foot off but this thing is a monster can’t really feel it.

Now I gotta go figure out how to change it from kilometers to miles. Don’t know why it’s set to kilometers.

Also before leaving the dealer I turned off forward collision breaking and back up break control or whatever it’s called. I hate those things on the Larmie and so didn’t want to deal with it on the TRX.

Its ok, you WILL get the driveshaft thump coming to a stop and accelerating. As its been getting warmer I am feeling it more and more on the 23. Not that its an issue really but because of this forum I am aware of it.

Oh ya. That’s there too but different than what I was describing. But ya that’s there too.
