been a crazy 12 months in the market since covid. There was some good trades to be made, especially early in the epidemic. And there were some good Biden trades to be made in the winter. Purchased QS right after election because of Biden green affection. Crazy predictable how certain sectors reacted. Pot stocks went crazy lately. Was not a Biden supporter, but you play by the rules of the game. There is always opportunity, even when things dont turn out the way you would want. A wolf hunts no matter the weather, so never be a victim, there is no money in it. And despite what the world tells you, money is not evil. It is simply a way to store hard work and actions.

I am technically "new money". I invested in bitcoin and alts a year ago and now it will pay for this truck. It has also allowed me to quit my auto tech profession of 19 years to start restoring muscle cars. Doing a 69 GTO Judge now. Looking to get into trading to, at some point, quit working because these old bones are not what they used to be haha. So If anyone ever wants to talk crypto, trading, finances, or cars, my door is always open. In fact, someone hmu, I need lessons in options trading lol

Fabrication Flight Chief in the Air Force Reserves in Pittsburgh. This truck is pretty far out of my price range so I had to uses some savings money to be able to afford the payment! Totally worth it though!!

Benz dealerships are even the worse.

Walked into the Bellevue, WA Benz dealer to look at an E63 AMG and I kid you not they wouldn't even let me sit in it (showroom car that wasn't sold).

Went to Lynwood dealership, bought it in cash, and I drove to the Bellevue dealership and told them they were a-holes and messed up so I bought elsewhere.

Still amazes me that car dealership salesman haven't learned that you should never judge a book by its cover.

There was a time when my dad worked for a well known brand dealership in his later work years, just before retirement. He used to tell me how comical it was that when someone came to the dealership looking all regular and almost like a bum, the other sales buys would ignore the customer. These were sales my dad earned by consistently being honest and respectful to the customer. Many times, the customer paid in cash. So true, you can never judge a book by its cover.

Spent the last 11 years with long hair and beard and was treated very different than clean shaving and military hair cut. it always amazed me how quick people are to judge by that “cover”

I’ve always been against the show of wealth shit. When I meet new girls I purposely don’t give them my insta and pick them up in the cheapest car I own.

Amen, we are on the same page. It is hard enough to get a bit ahead financially in the first place. Once there, make it work. Nothing wrong at all with reaping the benefits of hard work/good financial discipline/solid risk management.
