I have had a clunk in my front end ever since new when going through a deep pot hole or dropping off a curb and am curious if anyone here haas the same issue and if anyone has found a fix. I saw a video in one of the facebook groups and a number of people commented that they have the same issue. To me it sounds as though a strut mount is loose but I have not had a chance to get it to the dealer to check it out.

Below is thee video from book face.

I don't have any type of suspension clunk. Take it to the dealership. That's what thecwarranty is for.

Sounds like a Prius you may have run over by accident. Did you check your tire tread for a Toyota emblem?
That isn't my video; I only have the clunk on one side. I thought, given the number of TRX owners here, maybe someone has found a fix.

My TRX is my daily and if it is an easy fix, I would much rather throw it on a lift at my brother's garage and have him fix it rather than leaving it for a week or more at my local dealership. It is a very small dealership whose only gotten one single TRX over the last 18 months, so they are likely very inexperienced when it comes to the TRX as I am also the only TRX in the area.

Thats my video. The clunk doesent happen when the suspension loads going up to tracks but on the drop side when the suspension unloads. Does it on both sides.

ОOh my friend, this is Bilstein, I don’t really like this manufacturer ... and I don’t understand why these idiotic racks are put on rams ... The knock was from SRT and Trackhawk, also sometimes appears on trx, but if you somehow move at an angle to an obstacle or some kind of hole. not always but sometimes. So this is such a constructiveness of these damn Bilsteins ...

Well these tracks are at a slight angle. So its not straight on one side hits first then next. I need to check the sway bar links and mounts.

Ну, эти следы находятся под небольшим углом. Так что дело не в том, что сначала одна сторона бьет, а потом другая. Мне нужно проверить звенья и крепления стабилизатора поперечной устойчивости.
ЯIf I were you, I would contact the dealer if the car is under warranty, and ask to sort it out or replace the racks, since in your country you have the right to do so. But here we are in Russia without guarantees and support From the frames, it's a shame ... From the frames, it's a shame ...

What are the "racks" you speak of? Shocks?

О каких "стойках" вы говорите? Потрясения?
ВPerhaps the translator incorrectly translates what I write in Russian, but I would advise you to contact the dealer to eliminate the cause of the knock.Perhaps the translator incorrectly translates what I write in Russian, but I would advise you to contact the dealer to eliminate the cause of the knock.

Hank check the swaybar end links. They were an issue on some of the 21’ builds

This only happens on large bumps/railroad where the suspension drops allot and fast on the decent. Not just regular bumps and such
Same. Mine is only when dropping into larger pot holes or dropping off a curb. I’ll still try to get mine into a local shop to get the end links checked out.

Mine does same thing. I've checked every bolt in the front end, it's the shocks making noise on a harsh suspension drop. My chevy Colorado zr2 also makes same sound.

Yep every morning when i do a uturn for mu whataburger taquito, damn truck cant make a u turn in a 3 lane road and right tire just barely rolls over the curb and drops off with a clunk.

I've had the same sound on mine. I climbed under there and couldn't find any readily apparent loose bolts. I've just accepted it as part of the vehicle.

If something sounds loose, it IS loose or defective.
Its not the "damn" Bilstein shocks (as someone said).
Crawl under the truck or put it on a lift and systematically check all the suspension related bolts (front and back). You will find either something loose or something defective from the factory.
But I would also get it documented at your RAM dealer.
While you are under there, check all the quick connection lines (trans and oil), push pull and make sure the plastic retainer in in place.

If it is the "damn" Bilstein shocks, everyones truck would do it. IMO, highly unlikely its the shocks.

I took my truck to the dealer yesterday and specifically asked if they could check the sway bar end links. The mechanic said he went through every bolt on every part of the suspension and everything was tight.

No answer from the dealership, but at least I have it documented.

Not that I think all dealership techs are bad.....BUT.....I would put it up on a rack and check for myself.
You could also take it for an alignment, have them check for anything binding.
