It’s a fight to get them back in for sure. The plate steel is just too thick for the plastic retainer ring from the factory bumper. A little patience (I don’t have much so I had the wife do them) and you can get them in there
You could probably hit it with a flap disc on a 90 degree angle grinder and thin it out a little. It’s take ya just as long or longer than the patience concept lol! Once you get them snapped they seem fairly well stuck

that's what i figured. I'm gunna "hold out" on the mid/long travel kit haha. That's how i'll justify not blowing the $10k for now
