DVNT RACING chase build

Wonder why u went with geiser rear springs??
I’m running the Geiser springs front n rear and a couple months out from buying the king shocks set. I’m wondering how the 1 1/2” lift in the rear will work with the front king setup. The front now with geiser is 3” lift 🤷‍♂️

That’s the same rear springs I’m running so I’ll let ya know as soon as I get it on the ground

the kings come stock height 5 turns make 1 inch cant adjust on the truck

Did king put a valving spec on the “5th shock”?
The center axle shock?

I’m curious how they valved it…. King often puts a shim stack tag on their shock or on the box…

I didn’t see anything, but I’ll double check when I go back out to the shop

I got mine today, nothing on box or shock itself

Can tell you side by side I could not compress the bilstein pushing straight down with my 220 lbs, it didn’t budge one bit. The king shock compressed with a little force and rebounded at a medium rate.

More info on the CV boot upgrade, please.

Are you referring to the CV boots that are laying with the parts? If so, those are for the steering rack end of the tie rod kit

Got it. I was wondering what they were all about. I haven’t seen too many issues with CV boots to warrant some sort of preventative measures.

Empi hd boots, go check their catalog.
Worst case is you have to take some measurements.

$8-$9 a boot with bands and grease worst case scenario

Im running the stock rear springs with the kings. It seems to be perfect.

I’m contemplating going this route…..I don’t want any rake in the truck and I’m second guessing my decision on the springs now

The truck sits level and not too high up. Billy at 4 wheel specialties recommended to use the stock springs to keep the truck this way.

How much shaft percentage split running geiser springs vs oem in the rear and also the front to have the rake and gear holding needed?

What stroke do the front and rear kings have?

Going to get it on the ground with the geiser springs and measure everything then I may throw the stocks back in it to compare those percentages. Lower controls arms won’t be here for another week or two.

Hadn’t really thought about the power transfer loss of taking the rake away.

I’ll measure the stroke when I get to the shop this afternoon

Good lord my post didn’t make sense. I was herding cats when I typed that.

I meant to ask:

1) what’s the stroke length of the kings front and rear? (Anyone know what the oem fronts stroke is)

2) at oem ride height, where do the oem shocks sit in the stroke?

3) when you run geisers, that shifts things, on the kings there are bypass tubes, are the tubes placed where they should be with geiser springs?

3a) if you raise the front kings to sit level or almost level with the rear geisers, where does that leave you in the front kings stroke? (Too little available droop makes a shock ride poorly)

3b) depending how much gear you run out back, it will lower the rear and you won’t have to level the front as much and all is happy. The rear springs are 10” at 100 then the rest at 300 dual rate. Comes in at a snap too. I can’t remember what the geisers said theirs were. 200 over 400?

3b1) what nitrogen pressures did you run out back and how much weight do you carry (in front vs behind the axle in the bed) and then, how do you have your bypass tubes adjusted?

4) what’s your social, mothers maiden name, full savings acccount number, PIN number, and where do you keep the keys to the safe and your vacation schedule?

Should be able to get all this info squared away as soon as I can get the lunar on the ground. The other TRX isn’t going for sale till I can do a comparison on the two side by side

See, if you had hired me, I could have done the measuring for you…

(Awaiting @ParadigmDawg measurement tool pun!!)
