The cruise excursions was all about finding some interesting liquors. Happened upon a rum distillery in Roatan that had some great rum and rum cakes (not pictured), and grabbed a few tequila’s in Cozumel. Saving these to open with our travel buddies (The Six Pack) at our next get together.

Looks like a great haul!!! I found an oddball at a local store I thought I would try. Very good!!! Insanely smoked Islay!

Asking for some help. Huge Buffalo Trace distillery fan. Can get Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare occasionally at my local store. Have to be there on Tuesday mornings when the truck comes in. Only allowed one bottle of each.

But I’m looking for something special for the holidays, Blanton’s, Wellers’s, etc.

Does anyone have a bottle they could spare, I will gladly Apple Pay, even with a slight markup. We just don’t get any of the rare flavors here.

If you have anything from them, that you are willing to part with, please PM what it is, and what you want for it.

Found this at a local store. They had 2 on the shelf and were dusty! 54.95....bought them both. Peerless is tough to find in my area! 112 proof! Woof. Cheers all!

Merry Christmas to me! Two bottles came in early, so I get to enjoy before Christmas.

Don Julio Real - now discontinued, I’ve been searching for this one a while, and really didn’t want to pay $1k prices. I finally found a bottle in Australia for a “reasonable” price and pulled the trigger. I was a bit shocked they’d ship to the US, and so cheap.
Tequila Cayeya - IG ads got me on this one. I’m excited to try it.
Casa Del Sol Angel’s Reserve - this one came in last week, and it’s very smooth. For the price, it seems like a much more high dollar sipper.

I see there seems to be some booze knowledgeable people on here so here is my story.

I have had this for about 20 years now and don't really know what I have. I found this at a rural barn sale and bought it for $20. It has a glass bottle in it that looks like a water bottle and is filled with ”easter grass” around it. Looks to be around 3 gallons and is full and has an old cork in the top. It was found in the Plankington hotel in Milwaukee and was put there confiscated during the prohibition. That is the story the farmers daughter told us. She did not know when they got it. I did verify that there was confiscated booze stored at the hotel from an article I found online a while back. Looks like it was made in 1903 and bottled in 1915. You can see the prohibition tag that is still attached to the crate.

I‘m looking for input on if it’s still good (I would assume so as it looks clear and the cork is in there And in good shape) and how I could go about finding the value of it. There can’t be to many 3 gallon 119 year old bottles of whiskey around.
I have searched the internet and just can’t find any info to help me on this.

Great info there. Guess my $20 investment for a room decoration might have been well spent. The farmers daughters statement about it coming from the Plankington Hotel sounds correct.

Single malt born 17 March 1973. Cracking it open when the 2013 TRX finally gets here.
Supposedly January 22 according to the dealer but I’m not holding my breath.
