Dram of the Day

I can’t stand Makers, too rough or “burning” for me.

Guys, I’m new to Bourbon. But my boss loves Eagle Rare, so I’ve been turned on to Buffalo Trace. I’ve had Buffalo Trace and Eagle Rare, keep them on stock. But their other brands I have a hard time finding, it’s too rare in my area. I’ve tried Rye, not for me. I would love a Wellers, or a Blanton, but what common recommendations can you provide? Smooth, sipping bourbon on the rocks, at a medium price point int?
Definitely anything 1792! Such a good flavor profile. Penelope is also stellar. If @soulsea was still more active, his recommendations were spot on. I love trying new drams, so maybe treat yourself to a new bottle every week or two! Let us know what you have been sipping!

I bet you a quick bottle of Angel’s Envy would do you just right:

Agree with Angels Envy.

I am fairly new to Bourbons and found Angels Envy recommended earlier on this thread.

Now its my favorite!

Can’t do Rye, it’s a little to peppery and spicy. But I do love Basil Hayden. Just finished a bottle of it.

Keep a bottle of Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and Basil Hayden on tap. Like Angels Envy, and just scored a bottle of Michters. Unfortunately, the liquor stores I frequent don’t carry a variety of bourbon, or they overmark it.

Sunday Bloody at Hatties in Saratoga! Best fried chicken in the northeast! Cheers all!

It’s October, so I wouldn’t normally get this, but it was worth being a little cliche since it’s typically only found around Halloween. The reviews are a mixed bag… mostly bad… but I’ll give the Ghost a try. Oh, and the wife says the Cantera Negra Cafe is delicious.

Went to a tasting event at a local big liquor store featuring Clyde May Distillery. The founders grandson Clyde May II gave the presentation and some history onhis grandfather's legacy. Was excellent. He signed any bottles you bought just for conversation pieces. The whisky is very tasty. Fun fact, Alabama whisky has less than 1% apple extract added for smoothness! Cheers all!

A new dram at my local liquor store. From Taiwan......figured I would try it! And.....it's good. Nothing award winning, but a really nice scotch. Light and tasty! Cheers all!
