Very nice! I’ve got a buddy coming up for the weekend. Brought them all with me to have a proper tasting. Couldn’t wait and had to crack 1. Wish I could have found the toasted barrel Elijah Craig. They did have barrel proof, so trying that one.

Are you a peat guy? I’ve yet to acquire a taste for it.

So far, so good. We had to cancel our rendezvous to the JL Bar Ranch for this weekend because my plane is allergic to ice. Sooooo.... all kinds of time, no truck and can’t fly anywhere. Luckily I’m stocked on wine and whiskey. Sunday night is when we get dumped on. Are y’all getting anything that far south?

My @soulsea inspired roadtrip to go out and find these. Not a bad haul. Thanks to everyone I'm finding new bourbon to taste.

Let us know about the Tidewalker. The NE has been coming out with some excellent whiskeys lately and my sense is that there will be some hidden treasures from that region. I recently polished off a bottle of the Coppersea Excelsior bourbon from NYS and it was delicious.

Yes I like the Smokey Peat flavor... goes well with a strong cigar. Sorry you can’t get your truck yet... but very soon. Yeah we are in a winter wonderland here. Every thing is solid rock ice... Am at 2300 ft elev... it has been weirdly misting but no snow. The ice just keeps getting thicker. But like you I am well stocked at all times. Stay safe. Cheers

I would welcome 5 degrees right now. We have a cold spell going on right now. Mid day any. We Andy made it to -2 degrees. Going down to -18 tonight, then -20 for a couple nights before it warms up to -9. Brrrr. In the mean time my F150 moved to Florida without me.

Well for south central Texas this is unusually cool. Supposed to be a low of 3 degrees Mon morn.... but I have the necessary things to keep me warm.

Blade and Bow or Angel’s Envy but it’s not a fair comparison with the alcohol differential. All were very nice.... quite mediocre when out against a heavyweight. I love the hint of butterscotch finish of the two I mentioned but the complexity of the other two is admirable. All were fantastic yet none over-the-top remarkable. Sorry about the poor review!
