Excellent choice on the Dalmore. I might visit King Alex here in a bit or the Cigar Malt is unique.

We’ve been enjoying these crazy iced up roads.

Milo wasn’t so sure why we weren’t going straight.

Regarding last nights variety sampling, my answer never made it through concisely. I set the wife and I up for failure having had Weller Antique the night before which is one of her favorites. As for the four, I repeatedly chose the Blade and Bow because of the nice finish of lingering spice and butterscotch. The bride, not surprisingly, kept after the Angel’s Envy because of its subtlety in every department: oak, vanilla, acidity, etc. The Kentucky Spirit and Four Roses had better complexity but I should have brought them closer to 35% alcohol to win a contest with the wife involved. It’s sad to say but she’s become a better evaluator because she goes in blind every night as I’m the one bartending.

Ok you win, double up on the dram. Man that is cold add a few more logs to the wood stove.
The weatherman lied like FCA lies about their ordering process. It should have only gotten down to -20. It was -30 around 6 AM and here is a snap from the car about 45 minutes later. It was still -29. Brr that’s damn cold.

Lost power many times today , then had my water supply lines freeze and break. We live off rain water. No water for a couple of days, but besides that all is well in our South Central Texas winter wonderland. Cheers

Hey Man I get your frustration... but in the big picture let’s hope that your truck will get fixed properly and you will enjoy the hell out of it soon. And not that it isn’t sucking big time right now. Cheers

Second go around with this bourbon ... I still don't get it.

I'll give it kudos for being different, and if you like a splash of sambuca in your whiskey this is the one for you.

Otherwise definitely not worth the price imo.
