Today’s work/storage box install

Did a few things to the truck today, put protective glass on 12” screen. Did rear box under the rear seat and a swing out box on passenger side bed. I have another storage system coming from builtright industries…….to hold shovel and a few other things on back drivers side bed. Trying to keep the bed clear!

It took 10 minutes maybe. Measure 4” above the bed. Mark it. Hold bracket on the line you made, use a screw gun or impact with self tap screws in kit.

and it does pop off east also just in case you need your bed

^yes which box is it and how long was that install process too? I might look into this one if I decide not to go the JL Stealthbox route

Super easy to install. Remove the three 10mm bolts on each side and pull out old divider. The instructions didn’t mention putting back the finished inside caps. I chose to. You can’t see them once installed but I did it anyways.

The DU-HA is a pretty good box in my opinion. It holds a lot of crap. Sometimes the locks rattling annoys me but then I just lock it up and it's quiet.

I did this under seat storage one from ebay. It doesn't have a lid but I don't see it needing one and it was reasonably priced

I dont need the lid either. How's the fitting? Have you had to trim? Is it sticking out? Is it holding the bench raised or it's a good height ?

It went right in, no trimming. It sits about an inch under the seat. Needless to say I have it piled with stuff till it hits the seat bottom. I would think a cover would just be in the way especially if it's the full width. You would have to lift both seats up to get into it.

Can you get rear floormat out without removing under seat storage unit?

I got mine in today. Still in the box. Wife said I can't open it till Christmas. I told her I'd hide it under the seat for her.

Just noticed mine has an extender that folds down to increase the storage space already. Did yours have this? How'd you get it out.

The "extender" comes out easily.

3 screws each side if I recall correctly (I installed my DUHA months ago).

Pulls right out....

Duha has been great. My only "complaint" is that the locking system works with two locks, one on each side of the truck. To lock and unlock I needed to walk around the TRX.

I chose to split the lid on the DUHA 40/60 split to match the seats. I can lock and unlock the drivers side from the drivers side..

Downside is the split decreases the security, but hey, it's a plastic box to start. Locking will still prevent smash and grab.

I did purchase additional locking hardware from DUHA, with plans to add two more locks on each side of my "cut"...
