Current MSRP Dealers

This is more of a PSA than anything but as I have been shopping around for a while now in so cal, its super annoying with all the dealer shenanigans. I have owned a few GT500s and was raptor shopping last year so none of this is really new but it doesn’t make it any less annoying.

First off, don't trust cars.com or autotrader.com as is. They have access to general inventory data (I know most know this) and I have found through past purchases that those with actual vehicle pictures at their dealership (no stock photos or the made up background ones) are generally in stock but you still need to reach out.

Second, I will not step foot in a dealer who will not commit to pricing in writing and if they change it after I show up, I walk. I have already run into 2 scenarios where MSRP was promised in writing and then show up and get the 10K lifetime warranty to get MSRP or the we have someone else coming right now and want 5K over plus a bunch of add ons like 500 dollar nitrogen filled tires, ceramic, etc. that add up quite a bit that aren't shared when I ask for out the door pricing. It’s just a shady way to do business.

Lastly, I have been getting good responses out of state but the minute I ask about delivering, many are put off by the CA registration process. I just disclose that up front now so that it’s not a waste of time for an out of state dealer who doesn’t want to deal with this.

My brothers work for a local family that owns a bunch of GMC/Buick/Cadillac/Chevy dealers and I have other family that work for Ford so I usually have easier access to actual inventory and pricing/incentives, etc. I have no leg up with anything FCA so having to put in more work but I am hopeful that it will be worth it in the end.

Going through the same thing... Been in San Diego for 13 years now and I have gone back to AZ to purchase every vehicle . I always start locally and it never works out.

Yep. I bought my 2 Shelbys 18 or so months after release (2008 and 2013 models) and just had to find something in inventory that had what I wanted. Certainly willing to do that here as well but figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I'd always rather spend locally if I can which helps with building a local dealer relationship as well and would even be OK with something reasonable on the markup at 5K or below for something I really wanted now. The fad will wear off and things will level out at some point. It always does.

If you find a solid AZ dealer, let me know and I will do the same.

My thing is if I have to order one to get msrp I’ll just wait until the 22’s are listed. Estimated end of June. And it takes about two months to order one sooo. Mine as well wait. Unless I find a blue one in the 86k price range sold at msrp. I say 86k range cause that’s what the one I want comes out to.
level 2
Technology group
bedliner group. Etc

my current 19 ram is 600 to the wheels and still gets 24 on the highway long distance. Power I can make. But something about that center console shifter and steering wheel really has me jonesin. If deals don’t happen soon I’ll just buy a 22 ram limited and build it. Save more than 10k atleast that way.

It is tough, but stay plugged in and keep an ear out. I was in the same boat and got lucky when a dealer in OH posted he had three dealer orders at MSRP. I jumped right there and then. I favored the Granite and it had every option (maybe too many). I don’t think 30 minutes went by from when he posted and I had a deposit down. It happens that fast. Happened yesterday on another thread I believe. Watch the threads, you’ll get one. Totally worth it to do it now, don’t wait.

Ok, my salesman at Four Stars, Henrietta, TX has a Granite loaded in D status.

Chris Chandler 940-224-8985.

Also believe they have one allocation left to customize.

Got my LE from him and referred the other 3 purchases to him on their original allocations. Great experience from them.

Be wary of orders in D Status. Make sure they change that order to Sold and put your name on it. D Status orders without a customer may languish as Ram tries to finish the customer orders before EOY.

I am a dealer outside of Detroit. We are an MSRP dealer, however please be careful, or at least mindful, of the time these are now taking to arrive. We have plenty of allocation and orders in our system, but the delays are really starting to add up.

I was born and raised in sd. The dodge dealer by convoy fucked around on a viper purchase with me and I walked.

It’s embarrassing... try to support the new city I call home and couldn’t even pull off a Costco deal for the wife’s 2021 Platinum Toyota Highlander locally.

Is it just me or are most dealers just slimy....I will never forget what my old man did to a dealership. They tried to screw him out of 3K dollars on a deal. So he told them to write everything up.....said he would go to the bank and get a check. Well he went to a competing dealer, bought the exact same car for 3K less with the rebate the other dealer said didnt exist. Then he drove the car to the other dealer and and put on a colorful show to say the least.

Sounds about as childish as I am with stuff like that

Two leads to follow up for anyone looking for MSRP. I can confirm that both were on the lot and available and I saw these trucks myself today:

-The first one is MSRP. Great dealer. Where I bought mine from at MSRP. Call and ask for Leya.
-Second one they want 5k over MSRP but you can probably tell them MSRP to buy today and they might bite. It was my original order that arrived this week. I was gonna get it at MSRP. Call and ask for Sebastian.

You can tell them the brown kid in the white TRX sent you. No one remembers my name :(

I’m located in Houston TX. We have 20 more TRXs allocated. Everything but launch are at MSRP. We’re taking custom orders. Last 2 I sold took about 8 weeks to arrive after the build was placed. If interested you can call/text Caleb at 307-679-9635.
Caleb, I sent you text message this afternoon. I’m hoping we can touch base on some of those TRXs

Al Smith (817-209-4540) he’s the Internet manager / salesman I just got my trx at msrp. “Meader” in Ft. Worth!!! No haggle and easiest out of town purchase ever. Tell him Glenn with the white trx sent you.

I talked to a local dealer about ordering a trx this week. I asked if he had any allocations left, and he said he didn't need any. Every order he submitted gets picked up. If that's the case and there's no limited availability issues, I don't see how the price will even stay at msrp for new orders. is expect the same discount as on any other ram they can order for you.
Then again, I expect a huge price increase to be announced for 2022 offsetting any discount a dealer would be willing to make.

I am ready to buy or order. I am located in FL. and willing to purchase out of state. Any leads or dealers looking to put a purchase together please feel free to contact me. Looking for White, level2, carbon, upgraded interior, tech, radio, trailer package

I have seen all the colors in person except Anvil which may be considered. I understand this is available in Launch only.

looking at MSRP dealers out of state I see some note they only sell to those who live within the state? Am I misunderstanding this? Not sure why that would be the case?

Thank you in advance Rich 954-917-0634
